Oven in gas stove will not light, but pilot is on.
I have a gas stove in my apartment and was going to do some baking. I go to turn on the oven to preheat it and 30 minutes later... no gas, and the strip under the plates on the bottom of the stove is not lit up with fire. The pilot light is working down there and the stove top burners work. So why is the oven not working?

The most common problem is called a faulty thermocouple, almost all hardware stores and applience stores have replacement thermocouples and by removing the old faulty one(by turning the screw in end and removing the other end where the flame hits it) and bringing this with you to the store you can replace it in just about 5 min.

    Hope this helps!
