Dependent on where you live. I live in the UK and a cream called E45 is fantastic for old scars. It nourishes the skin and is used in hospitals to help with scar healing and moisturising.

Some scars however will never disappear and can only be reduced slightly.

If you like tanning then this will make scars more obvious due to the darker pigmentation of the skin around it.

If the scars are really unsightly and bothersome you may wish to see your gp and enquire about having them removed.
