    Preventing Garnishment
I have a credit card judgement against me and have been notified of Writ of Garnishment. I have acknowledged the debt and want to work a payment plan out with the attorney without being garnished. Is this possible?

    Hello Doxie2
The time to work out a payment plan was BEFORE the judgement I doubt if they will take a payment plan because they have already have got a judgement and now can go after your wages and bank accounts but it does not hurt to try.

Well if you offered them MORE then they could take via a garnishment, they might agree to it. But otherwise what incentive do they have? Why should they accept less they they can get via garnishment.
