    Entrance Panel Amperage Rating
I just bought an older condo. The service panel in the unit does not contain the main breaker. It is located in a meter room outside. The main breaker there appears to be 125 amps (I'm assuming 220). I would like to install a combo gas/electric oven stove. There is no 220 big amperage service to the stove, as it was installed with gas only in mind. Currently the big load items in there are the heat pump and the dryer. This unit is 2BR 2BA about 1100 Sq. Ft. Is the 125 panel adequate service to support adding the 220 stove breaker and service. There is space for it in the panel.

I would think so, but really need to know the Kw of the auxiliary and/or emergency electric heat in the heat pump to be sure. Should also be absolutely sure the main is truly a 125 amp breaker.
