    Solve Interval Nation
    3x<=6x-9/3<+10 The question

    My answer

    3x<=2x-9<=10

    3x<=2x-9 or 2x-9<=10

    3x+9<=2
    9<=2x-3
    x=>-9

    or

    2x-9<=10
    2x<=10+9
    2x=19 divide both sides by 2

    x<=9 1/2

    I think I made more of this than it is

    MsTaylor23: it seems that your posting has multiple typos, so that it's impossible to help you on this. Please restate the original problem - is it:

    3x < 6x/3 - 9 < 10

    or is it:

    3x< (6x-9)/3 < 10

    or is it:

    3x < 6x - 9/3 < 10? Please take care to type it out properly.

    Also, you seem to alternately leave out or put in an "x" here and there, making it impossible to follow along. Please clarify - thanks!

    It is the third one. I am still new to this and its complicating to type this problems out on here.

    OK. Then the first step is:

    3x <= 6x -9/3 <= 10
    3x <= 6x - 3 <= 10

    Then divide through by 3:

    x <= 2x -1 <= 10/3

    Can you continue from there?

    The answer I got from it was x=>1 or x<=13/6.

    I separated them as x<=2x-1 or 2x-1<=10/3.

    Right. Now you can put the two expressions together to get:

    1<= x <= 13/6
