My friend is my age and we are becoming ever closer. Over the past couple months I have been thinking about him more and more. I'm in full-blown crush mode now. He is the greatest guy ever and he is also HOT. That is just a bonus; I normally don't go for hot guys. Whenever he is around, I get all giggly and bubbly, which I even think is weird. As horrible as it sounds, I have no clue if there is some girl I don't know about constantly on his mind. I don't want to creep him out by asking, but it's made me lose sleep... I want to know, but at the same time I'm scared of the answer One of my guy friends suggested he ask this guy if he has a girlfriend and to go with a group of us to the movies, but I'm afraid it would be weird for him to ask him both and I 'conviently' go to the movie. Another friend suggests flat out asking him then walking over to me to see his reaction. I have no clue what to do.

If you don't know him well enough to know if he has a girlfriend then how do you know "he's the greatest guy ever?"

Otherwise tell him "I heard your girlfriend doesn't like you and me hanging out." and see what he says.

I know him well enough because we talk about everything else, and my friends don't talk about that stuff much. That and he may think I'm dating another guy so if he likes me, he wouldn't show it.

When discussing something such as what you both done over the weekend, or anything that he does away from school/college etc, just reply by making some comment such as ' I bet your g/f was happy with that' or reply that will get him to confirm either yes or no.

Or you could ask your guy friend to ask him as I'm sure he would ask in a round about way that will not give you away. After all this is your circle of friends too, so why would your presence at this outing be odd...

He and I are really close and we spend every moment together laughing and having an amazing time. I recetly sent him a secret admirer flower from a school fund raiser, and when he asked if I was the one that sent it, I did in fact tell him. He waits for me after class and invites me to hang out with his friends (that I normally don't hang out with) at lunch. He and I share A LOT of opinions, (especially politics which is a big deal to both of our parents) but I'm a bit socially awkward and don't know how to ask out a guy. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I think when you guys are having a great conversation, just bring up that "hey you should come to the movies with us this weekend" if ask who is us--just say friends--then let him take it from there.
