92 honda civic no spark new coil.
    Hi there,

New to the forum hopefully someone can help. I have a 1.5l automatic 92 civic. I was driving down the street the other day sitting at a light, no problems at all, and my car just up and dies. I turn the ignition on and can hear the fuel pump the car turns over fine lots of power. I took out one of the spark plugs and grounded it to the block and there is no spark. I changed the coil, still nothing. I then tested the igniter and got battery voltage from two of the pins like it should but no continuity from the other two pins to ground. Should I just try and replace the igniter or am I now looking at replacing the whole distributer or ECM? The map sensor is less then a year old. Thanks for all of the help.

Do you mean the igniter? Or the whole distributer.

Hey buddy thanks a lot for that awsome thread and your posts. I changed the ignitor, cap and rotor. It works now, my guess is that it was the ignitor like you said but while I was there I felt like changing the cheap stuff too. Thanks again I'm in your debt.

It was the logical time to change the other components--you'll be glad you did.
