Laura, why not let millie tear down the ceiling. She would have fun poking mini holes in the ceiling and help and get millie to throw everything on the floor. Sorry do not mean to give millie ideas. Lol, Just trying to be funny.
I can not wait for my little boy to walk up to some stranger or school mate or teacher that accidentally farts or burps. Runs up to them in a really series manner and says real loud You are a pig and then runs away. Lol

Oh, you should see the beautiful smile. He is such a happy baby, I am so proud to have him as a son, and I hope he has a very happy, secure life. There are a lot of things I have experienced in life I never want him to go through. I guess, that is every parents wish.

Hehe... you raise your son to be better than that.. lol...
Connor called a woman in walmart a cow when he was about 24 months old. He just looked at her and then yelled out "look mommy, a cow!!!" I was mortified... and I tried to play it off like he was talking about a picture in a book, since we were near the book aisle... in his defense though, the woman was very large and had made the silly mistake of wearing a white shirt with large black dots... what else is a two year old to think?
Synnen
Jun 7, 2007, 12:11 PM

Jun 7, 2007, 12:39 PM
OMGosh, that is hilarious. Wow, I have had some serious stuff happen like that but never for a good enough reason as Connor had! I had 3 12 year olds in my car, and let me tell you I set them straight after a while of listening to their B.S. I was so disapointed to hear them talk like that. I mean it is one thing for a 2 year old but another for my 12 year old and two friends. GOLLIE!

I don't know if any of you have ever heard the parody song "big butter Jesus" before or maybe if you have driven through Ohio, may have actually seen the giant Jesus statue (it looks like it is carved from butter... hence the name of the song)... but My son loves the song, (they play it a lot on my morning radio show and he has it memorized.) well anyway... one day while sitting in church and listening to father preach, Connor heard him say Jesus a few times in the same sentence... Connor immediately perked up and said "Jesus? he said Jesus!......"big Butter Jesus... " and then proceeds to sing it... this was very loud might I ad... I was so embarrassed...
http://www.churchmarketingsucks.com/graphics/2005_01_13giantjesus.jpg
Picture of "big butter Jesus"
Song about "big butter jesus".. by Heywood Banks... (this is in no way meant to offend anyone)
In southern Ohio, just north of Cincinnati
I beheld a vision, next to the expressway.
Was a 60 foot jesus, with his hands in the air
Looks like he's carved out of butter,
Just like at the state fair.
Big butter Jesus
Sweet cream Jesus
Oh country fresh Jesus
Unsalted Jesus
Oh Promise Jesus
Imperial Jesus
Can't believe it's not Jesus
Oleo Lord.
Well you see him from the chest up
Like he's about to do a back flip,
Like he scored a touchdown
Or maybe melting or about to drown.
Well I've been to the state fair
Seen a cow made of corn cobs
Garth Brooks made of string cheese
And the virgin out of olives.
Big butter Jesus
Sweet cream Jesus
Oh country fresh Jesus
Unsalted Jesus
Oh Promise Jesus
Imperial Jesus
Can't believe it's not Jesus
Oleo Lord.
Shipped in pieces on a flatbed
Staring backwards was his big head
Driver stuck in traffic backups
Desperately avoiding eye contact
Well don't make no graven images.
That's one of the 10 commandments
I hope the grading curve is kindly
You get to heaven with a 90
Big butter Jesus
Sweet cream Jesus
Oh country fresh Jesus
Unsalted Jesus
Oh Promise Jesus
Imperial Jesus
Can't believe it's not Jesus
Oleo Lord.
Can't believe it's not Jesus,
Oh spread the word.
My husband and I have these little books full of what we call "connor-isms" we have a million... little funny things he says and doesn't even realize it...

I call it beating around the bush. Well, my husband does actually, I have to give him credit for that... Don't tell him that I did though. We can still be nice while being straight forward for the most part...

Jun 7, 2007, 05:30 PM
I appologise to everybody, I erased my post. That is why it looks like start did a double posting but did not.
I just want to say that the truth hurts sometimes. There is a right and wrong and many people come here looking for people to sugar coat everything and make them feel warm and fuzzy about there decisions. I do not do that. Depends all on the situation as well.
Here is a link to somebody who actually asked if there is anything they can do to cause a miscarriage.
https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/womens-health/cause-miscarriage-99152.html
Synnen
Jun 7, 2007, 05:59 PM
I don't try to sugarcoat anything, though my view and yours are opposite much of the time, Joe.
I just try to put myself in the shoes of the person posting. All of us have sin, all of us have made mistakes, and all of us can learn even now from mistakes. No one is blameless in this life--we all do things that hurt others at least sometimes. If that poster is as young as I think she is, well... maybe she didn't have anyone to teach her right from wrong. Can't we help do that without judging? YES, it's stupid to have sex if you don't want to get pregnant, but I know even married people that get pregnant when they don't want/expect to. Ask me about my sister sometime--she has 5 kids, ages 10, 7, 5, 4, and 2. You can bet she didn't PLAN those last 3, especially the timing on them.
I, on the other hand, have not been on birth control in about 10 years. Was I married to my husband then? Nope. Did we necessarily WANT children then? I don't know. I think it would have been hard on us, but a child would have been a happy thing for us even then, years before we were married. Would I just about die to have her kids? Absolutely. And Mr. Synn and I are listed as getting guardianship in her will, should something happen to her and her husband.
What I'm saying is... circumstances are different for everyone. She's wrong to think the way she does, but rather than yelling at her, which is what she's probably getting from every OTHER adult around her, I'd rather point out that I understand, and why I understand, and let her know that it's still wrong, and look! Here are some other options!
I'm in a meloncholy mood, and I'm not attacking anyone, especially not you, Joe. I'm just kind of sad and frustrated about a lot of things right now, and I think it's showing in my posts.
startover22
Jun 7, 2007, 06:17 PM
Synnen, that is a great way to talk to the posters that obviously need help, especially if you make it know clearly that they are not making good choices. And yes, we all are "sinners" so to speak. We all do things wrong and hurt people. I would rather know I hurt someone than have someone make it OK. Hugs to you and yes, you are definitely showing compassion in your posts!
JoeCanada76
Jun 7, 2007, 06:22 PM
I hope you synnen and start understand that my wife and I were trying to have children and when we finally found out we were pregnant. We were so excited and happy and could not wait. Our first baby ended in miscarriage. It was devastating. It was hard to take and we went through so many different emotions. Then I had people at my work, office personal tell me that it is not really considered a loss. They were also surprised that the baby had a heart beat. What I am trying to say here, is that because of our experience, because of our loss and the it is not alive according to others around me I got angry and mad to think that people could care a less, that people has no regard to the importance of life. So when I hear somebody asking how they can force and start a miscarriage on purpose. You know what, that makes me so mad and upset and this poster needs to know it is not right. So I still feel the pain and hurt from losing our first baby and you know what. That is what shows in the posts. Some might not understand that but that is me.
EDIT:::::::::::::::::::
I deleted my original post to that girl.
Joe

Jun 7, 2007, 06:50 PM
Hey joe, I agree with you. Believe me I know what a miscarriage can do , before and after every single one of my children I had a miscarriage. I know that sounds unbelievable, IT IS TRUE! What Synnen and the other posters are trying to say is that, the lady was trying to ask for help after the fact. Not your opinion of her for what she did. She needed help on how to start over. Sometimes we are so outraged by how it all started we cannot offer any help. I have been there. I may have looked like a jerk after 300 or so posts on the same thread not ever giving into it, but I wasn't going to change my outlook because I was so pissed from the beginning. I know exactly how you feel, although I have had miscarriages I would hope that I never made one happen. Wow, that is pretty awful. Hugs
Synnen
Jun 7, 2007, 07:05 PM
Joe,
I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. I hope that time has helped to heal you, and that Joshua has taken the sting from the loss, though I know he has not replaced your lost child.
I won't be trite and say that child is in a better place, or that God had plans for that child... Everyone seems to say things like that, and it never really helps, it just feels as though they are saying something to say something.
You will never forget that lost child, and I hope you know how sincere I am when I say that I am so sorry for your loss.
I hope that you realize that I was not trying to belittle what you had to say. Everyone's experiences shape them, and sometimes we can not help our reactions to things (check out my reaction sometime when someone posts that adoption is the "best thing to do if you can't raise your child") I am actually very glad you pointed that post out, because I may have missed it otherwise, and really felt I needed to post what I did.
You are a truly strong man, and one with compassion. I hope you realize that I was not attacking you, and not saying that what you said was wrong. I'm just... I don't know. PMSing or something. I'm tired and sad tonight, and it makes me ramble on in posts.
Many hugs to you, my friend.
JoeCanada76
Jun 7, 2007, 07:14 PM
Well, There are times where we joke around lots here, and other times we share our pain and sadness and life experiences that comes our way.
You know what, Yes, Having Joshua definitely took the sting away. What both my wife and I do is focus completely on Joshua. He is here, and He is such a smart, beautiful, happy baby. It makes my heart so happy and proud to know him as our child. That we are now blessed with Joshua. I would have it no other way. I do not ever want to forget our first experience eighter, everything happens for a reason and I think that made us grow. Also have had a doctor say to us it is natures way of developing a perfect baby. Now we have him. Joshua.
I guess, when I saw that post with that girl it hit a huge nerve in me. I am here in tears thinking about it. I just wished that people who read my posts learn from this and discover the importance of life, Love. It is the greatest thing to experience and many people take life for granted. I do not want to do that.
I also know we all make mistakes and we all have a past that we need to let go in order to move ahead, and move forward.
Synnen, to me it is not considered rambling at all. Please know this.
startover22
Jun 7, 2007, 07:38 PM
I love reading every word, and I am with Joe, I am not sure if we can call it rambling cause it makes sense! This is a very hard subject! Brings lot's of thoughts and feelings from "before" and I can guess this young lady might be feeling them too down the road. I just hope it is not from her doing! Hope you both feel better! Hugs, Start
chippers
Jun 8, 2007, 12:29 AM
I'm the one who tends to ramble. If in doubt, check my last post.
Joe, I don't know what to say except I understand your feelings. When I was pregnant with my first child, It was actually twins and I miscarried a fraternal twin. So your heart break is well understood.
Start is right, it is a very tough subject to discuss. And no matter what advice we give, they will do as they want to do. We pray and hope for the best.
In her case that if she tries to terminate her own pregancy she'll survive it. Blood loss and toxic shock are very common. I've seen both and they are nightmares.
I talked to my dad today,\. He wants me to meet his lay friend. I said I'm okay with him having a lady friend and I was honest about it. I also said, I wasn't ready to meet her or see him with someone other than my mother just yet. I still have to reconcile with the fact my mother is dead. He seemed okay with it but I think a little disappointed about it. I thought it was better to let him know how I felt than meet her and seem cold or impersonal to her. It may be a little selfish on my part but I couldn't help it. My mom and I had a weird relationship, but I loved her. I just hope dad understands that I need time.

Joe, Synnen, I wish there was a way I could have helped you. I have seen first hand from my sister how terrible it was to lose children. I myself also suffered a miscarriage, as a result of an auto accident, and it was very rough on me, but I already had a son, so I can't imagine losing all of your hopes like that. There was another poster that had some post like that last week about drinking alcohol to terminate, I wrote her off as a troll, but I guess there are a lot of young girls in those situations. I love you all and I love that we have all had suffered pasts... it has brought us all here the way we are to helpeachother, and that is something I am terribly thankful for. You are all wonderful Beautiful people.

Laura and others - I felt the same way, and my wife probably did when she was pregnant with Joshua. At times I felt guilty for not being excited like I was the first time but I just did not want to get my hopes up. We were always or at least I was always concerned and worried and just wanted to have our little baby in our arms safe and sound. Then I was more at peace, once Laura and others helped me through the uncertain new moments of having a baby to take care of. Thanks for all your help with my questions and concerns. (THERE WERE A FEW)
Laura - I have had my blood drawn, Millions of times and that is not exaggerating. Growing up with severe asthma and on so many different medications and allergy shots and the monthly blood drawn growing up. Which we talked about before. I hope you get your rest and pig out on some healthy food.
I just want to say thank you to everybody for being who you are.
I had a better day today. Have a good weekend everybody.
Love from all of our family to all of you and yours.

Jun 8, 2007, 01:03 PM
LOL I'm not saying I'm not used to having it done and as I've told you before you aren't the only one in the world with asthma, I was given arsnic in suppostry form for 2 years I had to have bloods done weekly and I had this student one afternoon who didn't connect the file properly so I had blood running down my arm I've been extreamly warey of having bloods taken since I really don't think it should come out lets put it this way.
My midwife hurt me this morning but then my colitis is making me loose blood too so having that much removed plus the loss anyway I'm in rag doll form I'm feeling pretty crappy and ready to bite.

Jun 8, 2007, 01:10 PM
Laura - I was just mentioning my own personal experience with all the needles and blood tests, I know I am not the only one. Just sharing my thoughts.
Wow, That must have been scary bleeding all over the place like that. That would make anybody wary of having blood drawn, I have never really had any bad blood drawn experiences.
Well laura, I did not know that you were a vampire too. Hee Hee (JK)
Hope you get plenty of rest. Good night Laura. Goodnight everybody. Going to get off the computer before the lightning strikes. We are in for a heck of a storm.

Joe I was physically sick over the trainee nurse I was only 18 at the time too she was so lucky I didn't stab her with the needle, every week after that I used to demand the sister in charge if the blood unit lol no bugger was practising on me.
I know they have to learn but hell that was not something I wish to repeat lol poor girl I probably scared the living daylights out of her.

Okay, This will tell you how silly my work is and how ---- management is.
Our hours have been reduced a lot. Laura already knows this. So sometimes I get out in half a day or 6 hours as of late. No overtime and lucky if we get our 30 hours in.
So they apparently got behind and instead of them just letting us work our 8 hours a day during the week they are making us come in on Saturday to work. Today.
Now even working 6 days a week. I am lucky if I get my 35 hours. This company is so backwards sometimes. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Well anyway, Got to go. Just wanted to say goodmorning to you all.

My goodness. I am so sorry.
Not sure what is going on here but not sure I like it. It's almost as though people wish to find fault in my words.

No need to apologize. I never said you were foolish, and I am now actually getting hurt. I do not understand how I find fault in your words, I was just asking what you meant?
I am not here to entertain myself or anybody. I am here sharing my thoughts and feelings and day to day stuff like everybody else. I am not purposely doing anything to hurt you or twist your words.
Oh my, I do not know what else to say Christine. You know Christine, I have always thought of you as a friend, I never ever accused you of twisting my words or doing anything else. I would like to know where this is all coming from.
We all take things from each other time to time the wrong way and the only way to clear it up is to talk or chat and ask questions.
I am speechless and personally would like a response from you personally because I am not finding faults with anything you say at anytime. If I do not understand or took things the wrong way then I ask what you meant like I did earlier.

There is no WAY I would want my husband here.
I don't know about you, but I can't say some things around my husband that I CAN say to my friends. Not that I don't trust him, or want to talk to him, or whatever... it's that my opinions on some things are very different than his, and I would NOT want to have to watch what I said because of what his opinion on the subject is. Not sure if that made sense, but I'd feel like I had to watch what I said if my husband was here.

I swear they are the sweetest little things when they want to be! Have a great day guys, Start

Many thanks to all of you, especially Christine and Laura, for helping me get through last week.
Things are looking better now, and while my husband and I still have some things to work out, I can see the silver lining now.
Thanks so much again. It's so nice to have a "family" like you for when things get awful.
Today is my last day of having any cigarettes. After today, I'll be back up on the top branch.

Have a wonderful day and we will have patience while we wait for you on the top branch... I know you will return! Hugs, Start

Good afternoon everybody. Just want to say hello. Hope all is well with everybody and having a good day.
Never heard of coffee like that before. When in a full moon once in a year I do have coffee it is Tim Hortons, which is very popular here in canada.
All right then. I am off and running again.

Yeah... there are pages where you can order it online. You can only buy it in stores in some places in Wisconsin (they're out of Watertown, WI, a suburb of Milwaukee). I really like flavored coffee, though, and this is one of the few (and by far the best) places I can find things OTHER than hazelnut and vanilla and raspberry. The Highlander Grogg is my favorite, followed by Blackberry and Packer Perc.
Mmmmm.

Busy busy and very overwhelmed. My house is a wreck, my son misses me, and my husband is not happy to do all the work. I know you all hate the whining, but this is my 4th straight week of this and IM wearing thin...
I have been working 40 hours a week and I attend an actual class setting for 10 hours each week, and then I have 2 online courses as well so I come home from work cook dinner and then do about 10 more hours of homework each week. All while being sick and tired. Im exausted. I hate that my house is not being cleaned to my standards (hey at least he's helping) I hate that I never see my son except when I drop him off at daycare in the morning and kiss him to sleep at night. My husband is feeling the strain of becoming mr. mom overnight and then to top it off, I have been forbidden by my doctor to do any strenuous activity since the miscarriage scare, so I can't work in the yard or pick up the laundry baskets. He has to mow the yard for me and then carry the laundry up from the basement so I can fold it. He sint complaining because he is a big sweety, but I can see that it is effecting him. I am just ready for it to be over with but I still have another 2 months... and Im so tired.
Phew... at least I get another Ultra Sound tomorrow... that always makes me happy.

Jun 11, 2007, 09:11 PM

So happy you have a great husband and father for your babies! Your sonn still loves you, don't worry you will get through. I wasn't aware of the scare with the baby, I hope it all goes great with the ultrasound! Hugs to you, and I will keep you in my thoughts and your family too! Good night my dear!

I ahte it when people disappear on here. I never know if they are OK. Im still on the lookout for a girl that was on here regularly and then disappeared...
**EDIT** so I don't double post and get yelled at...
Where is everyone? I went for my appointment today, and they decided not to do an ultrasound just yet because they couldn't find a heartbeat on doppler and seeing as I have a tilted uterus now apparently, it could just be too soon to hear.. so they are having me back in two weeks to try again and if they still can't find it, then will do a u/s. We only have some many allowed on insurance and if it is needed for medical reasons, then we can have more, so they are thinking along those lines so I don't have to use all my u/s before my 18 week mark. So that kind of bummed me out. At least I know there was a strong heartbeat 6 weeks ago, lets hope it is still there... im new to this whole tilted uterus thing... but it definitely explains the sudden UTI I just found out I have...
startover22
Jun 12, 2007, 08:14 AM

Dam Al that's just annoying we only get two scan here 12 and 20 weeks after those you only get them if your high risk :(
Start you are going to be pooped by the end of the week hhehehehehehe
alkalineangel
Jun 12, 2007, 08:32 AM
Yeah, we do as well. They were going to do my 12 week scan today to date me, because Im showing a little large, and then she realized I already had the one u/s around 6 weeks, so she was worried if she did this one without a medical reason, that I would lose my 18 week scan and not know the sex, she opted to do the doppler instead and found nothing, but with a tilted uterus apparently its harder to detect... so I get to go back in two weeks and if there is no heartbeat at that time, then they have a good reason for the u/s. I swear I have already had 2 doctor appointments in the last 2 weeks and now another, I feel like I'm already 30 weeks along.. lol... this pregnancy is so different from the others... it makes me very nervous.
curlybenswife
Jun 12, 2007, 08:42 AM
You will be fine Al I'm kind of thankfull our scans aren't insurance dependent they would have just gone right ahead and done it here and still got the 20 week lol.
Im so dam spotty my face looks horrid everything seems to be the same for me so far its odd.
I spoke to my mw today and abused her for bruising my arm so badly lol she was crap I'm so sory lol

Out of curiosity, when someone responds to what I post in a thread by PM, what should I do? I know I should not carry on a conversation with them in PMs, really, especially if I'm not an expert, but I'm not quite comfortable just copying and pasting their message either.
