May 23, 2007, 02:27 AM
Good morning one and all. Laura I don't know whether to shed happy tears or strangle you for the I've got a secret thingy. But I'm glad you're seeing a doctor. Now your pain will end. ( I'm praying that anyway) now if allheart prayed for you it'll be like a direct line to the almighty.
Syn, knowing you have a tire iron will definitely keep me on your good side. As for migrains, I hear you. They are no fun. There are meds out there to help stop them from starting. I'm wondering, do you get an aura before one hits. It's like a signal telling you one's coming. When I get one, I take 1000 mgs of motrin and 1000 mgs of tylenol, (both are normal doses) at the same time as a doctor told me to do and take them with caffiene. 98% of the time I can head it off. The sun more than anything is my triggar as well as weather changes bring them one. I wish you well with the neurologist. They're pretty good as far as I'm concerned.
Start, I tried to tell you in the comments but accidentally entered my entry. I thin k you should see an othropedic doctor. He can tell if its your bone or if it's a pinched nerve.
Chiropractors alleivate the pain but don't actually cure it.
Alka, I'm proud of you for one month gone. I hope you are really proud of yourself. I'm 45 had a tubal in 2000 and still have baby on the brain. I can't resist their smile, their eyes, andn their baby smell. I'm hoping someone will ask me and mr chippers to adopt their baby. As for the kidisms, my son when little used tgorefer to the elevator as the allagator because it swallowed people up. It was a long time before he would ride in them. Then there's my nephew. I used to take him with me to get my paycheck at the hospital I worked at. We were in the elevator when a doctor I knew and was slightly hot for got in after us. He asked who the young man was and I said my nephew Billy. The doc held his hand out to him and my nephew blew him the rasperry. Needles to say and hopes of hooking up were dead in the water. And mu night in the intensive care unit was a living hell. Every time I asked him a question, he simply went ppppfffffttttt.
You all have a deviousness about you that I like. I feel like I fit right in. It's part of the goddess trait. We like to have a little fun.
My lady godiva visit you in your dreams and leave you boxes of chocolates.
Love chippers.
Ps. I took a picture of my skinned knee to show my other souvenir from the Rick Spring field concert. Shame it's healing so fast. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Dirty girls!!
I have to let you all know about my sweet husband and my broken back... Here is a little back ground, I DO ALL THE HOUSE WORK! That should be enough to understand why this means so much to me!
My husband rubbed my back, swept the floors, kids did the dishes, daughter got the babies ready for bed, husband laid down with me and went on and on and on about how this family needs a mommy to run this house because if I weren't here they would be living in a dump, and there would be no tset times for anything and everyone would be running about with lot's of confusion. He said he loves me and is thankful for me. WOW, is that cool or what? I couldn't believe that came out of his mouth and I was all smiles last night even with the pain. That should tell you that the house is getting really dirty without mom being able to clean it or even pick stuff up. Pretty soon we would have drown if they hadn't stepped up to the job last night. Just had to share, it has only happened 2 or 3 times in the 13 years I have been with him. Times are a changing! Sorry about the long long post. HUGS!

I have dreams like that all the time too, Alka! I dreamed that one of my co-workers was hitting on my sister, and I was trying to warn him away, because she was really a vampire, and I liked him too much to let him die, but she got her claws in him anyway, and it was a bloodfest everywhere!
Um... yeah.
The JD thing... he's YUMMY in my dreams. Of course, I was actually kind of a prude in my dream, and I only got him stripped down to his pants left. He kissed pretty good for a pirate, though!

I've been having sinful dreams about the guy from JAG you know David James Elliot. He's wonderful without his good conduct medal. AHHHHHHHHHHH I'm almost happy to stay in bed and dream, dream all day.
Syn you could wear a wig and walk like an Egytian. Do the eyes and the whiol shebang. Use black eye liner to trace the eys and amythest or pruple shadow to fill them in. it's a very dramatic look. I should know I got tossed out of high school until I came back with a clean face,
Was my mom mad.
Alka, I;m not really a graphic dreamer but a hazy one. But I am a very visual person. Tell me something and I can visualize it with every detail. Some I thought I would go blind.
CBW if you go into your hubby's wallet (like I do) make sure he's asleep and put it back the same way. Play confused when he thinks He misplaced it to only find it back where he had it,
Those are my deivious tricks I can share with you all, the others up my sleeve the statute of limitations haven't ran out yet.

That's the same as our memorial day here. My brother is having a cook out and camp fire at his place. I went out and bought the boys sleeping bags
Life is getting better. I'm taking each day one at a time. My pop came over for dinner last Sunday. So were on an even keel. So were looking pretty good. We have each otyher and I have you and Syn with her tire iron. God I love her. As I love all of you lovely goddesses and Joe.

May 25, 2007, 07:27 AM
Thank you all for such wonderful birthday wishes. Uhmmmmmmmmm Syn, I am 46 whether I want to admit to it or not. I'm very young at heart and love the feeling. Just like you all are. Sorry about the 900.00 alternators are expensive. We just spent close to that on new brake pads so I feel your pain. That's a tough pill to swallow.
The only thing about being 46 are my laugh lines and I don't want to erase them cause I've earned those. Now the crows feet you can have. I have Dear John moisture cream from bennefit to thank for hardly no wrinkles at all. Now keeping up with a 7 yo and an 11 yo is a different story. I'm just starting to feel my hips and getting my voice back from the rick springfield concert on mothr's day. Can't shake it like I used to.

Boy I sure do miss all of you. Hugs to each of you.
Start, I have more regrets NOT saying things, so you did real real real good. At least
It's brought out in the open and can be worked on. That will be a healthy thing, instead of keeping it in and having it fester, so you did real good!

Oh CBW, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I wouldn't worry about the negative side of it. From the way you talk about what she does, Millie sounds like s toddler tornado. The way they fix it these days, they can plug it or over sew it.
It's thundering here and all the cats are hiding either beside me or under the bed.
Start I wouldn't worry about thinking you said something wrong. We can only hold things in for so long.the content might have been on point but the context needed work. I'm sure everyone from one time to another exploded and said something we regretted. But if you're honest about it, you probably felt better about it.
Syn, I'm a little glad you bummed a smoke and almost puked. Now you know you can't go back to them. Soooo as far as I'm concerned dear goddess, you are still on the top branch with the rest of us. According to the goddess rule book, two drags don't constitute falling off the branch. So don't beat yourself up too much over it. Now you know and learning is half the battle.
Tomorrow we're having a party at my brother's house.(lord help me) I'll be there with my sister in law without any possible modes of escape. She talks and talks and I swear she doesn't take a breath. But my niece and nephew are okay with her and so am I.(I keep rememering about Syn's tire iron) hehe. I soooooo love this group.
I followed my own rule in the goddess rule book and bought myself a birthday present, an Ipod nano. Ewveryone should show some self appreciation now and then. God knows we goddesses go under appreciated. (with the exception of Joe of course.) Hades have no wrath like a goddess with displeasure.
Alka, have a great weekend. Thank you for my lovely birthday treat. Take care of yourself in the heat and drink plenty of water.
Joe I can just imagine those wicked thoughts you might've had about Wonder Woman. As a kid I'd admired her for her strength and independence.
All heart, I saved the best for last, thank you for your wonderful ecard. As I've always said, you have the heart of an angel.
We all do but your's seems bigger.

Hell be greatfull you havent had my day we had to take millie for her heart check up this morning and it wasnt great news but not real bad either back in 3 years if the hole aint closed then its op time :( my poor wee dolly.
Laura,
I just read this. :(
I am so sad to hear that you got some not so good news about Millie.
I hope and pray that her heart heals up on its own. At least they know how to treat it and can actually fix this.
In my family we have had problems with different situations. Back in the days where they did not have all the great technology they have today.
Little Joshua had to be monitored for his heart as well, but they said that it did finally heal up on its own, I hope the same goes for Millie.
Laura - So so sorry I did not notice what you and millie went through until now. :o
Love you all. Hugs to everybody. :)

My grandmother died from smoking because she didn't commit but my greataunt is still alive because she did. My advice is go see a doctor and get some medicine to get the nicotine out of you!! Then you won't be addicted. Once you have committed and then succeeded you will know how hard it was to save your life so don't start again!

Cow, thank you for your advice. I'm sorry about your grandmother. You're a very bright and caring girl and you're absolutely right. I wish more kids like you felt the same way about smoking. If they did then we wouldn't have such an epidemic of kids who smoke.
Take care and come back soon.

OMG... did you expect some of that, Laura?
I've been biting my tongue all week not to spoil it for you! What's up with the forward flashes? There are already so many theories about who the funeral was for, and I think it was probably someone we haven't met yet.
Pfft... the only secrets I get to know are the ones of "my season finale airs 4 days before your season finale!"

For such a small Island, there are a lot of people hiding on it. I lost interest in it during the first season when they kept showing repeat after repeat. I missed the without a trace season finalle and the close to home finalle was pretty good.
Laura as for your secret, it is killing me to learn it but girly have fun. Every woman needs a little secret once in a while to keep everyone interested. Hehe.
And yes, Joe, I'm sorry to say that wives kow all. It's abit frustrating and fun to have an edge once in a while. We see all and know all and it gets stronger when kids arrive.(really comes in handy with the kiddies around) and they have no idea how we know what they're up to.
To even suggest that we were kids once is enough to send them running into deep denial.

Good morning one and all.
Everyone recovering from their weekend. Mine was extended cause the kids had Monday off. I have to tell you, I'm really peeved about something that happened yesterday. I saw it on the news and I felt like I got hit in the stomach. I'm watching the different memorial day coverages with servicemen and their families and in the crowd was people protesting. Holding up signs.
I'm thinking how dare they. I know we can say what we want. But isn't there a time and place? To some families these services are memorials for those they have lost. To see some unfeeling jerk holding up a sign just to get noticed stinks. In my mind its like protesting a funneral, which has been happening lately when a fallen soldier is laid to rest.
I'm sorry to spill like this but I feel this way because my father is a retired marine and my husband has recently returned from Iraq. By with the grace of God they could be the ones fallen. I hate feeling this way and I'll get over it. But I just had to get it off my chest.
Thanks for letting me sound off.(I know I've used up my venting rqtions for a while.)

Good morning everyone. I don't like it either. Some people have no common decency in their heart or mind. Just remember even when it isn't memorial day, that when you see your service men and women, it helps them a little when you say thanks! Just thought I would tell you that I sat around smokers this weekend at one point and I didn't ask for one. As hard as it has been, I don't want to be a smoker again! Thank you all for that. Hugs AND kisses today!

People like that should be forced to go through etiquette classes, or forced to actually SPEAK with the people they are hurting through their actions.

Memorial day, Everybody keeps talking about this holiday. I guess it is an american holiday.
We have Remembrance Day here in Canada and it is always on November 11.
We also just recently have had a canadian soldier die in Afhgasthan, sorry if I did not spell it right. Turns out he is a native in the small town that we live in.
Close to home. It happens everyday, and we all need to respect their funerals.
It is very sad and disrespectful to protest on a day like Memerial day or Remembrance Day. We all need to be respectful no matter what we may think or believe.
I personally am against iraq war but that does not mean we disrespect anybodies deaths. The people who go and fight, or the innocents that were lost. We need to remember all sides and all people who are effected by this.
Joe

May 29, 2007, 07:40 AM
Memorial Day is about the same thing as Remembrance Day. We remember our ALL of our fallen heroes on Memorial Day, from all wars. I believe that the difference for Veteran's Day is that it was to remember the Armistice from WWI, but I'm not sure on that for sure, and don't have the time to look it up.
Anyway, Memorial Day is a bigger deal here in the states, only because we get the day off from work. For Veteran's Day, most of us just take a minute of silence (or at least I do). At 11:11 AM.

Start, I knew someone who had a dog that got out and was missing for 4 hours. Just to tick him off when he got back, the owner took him for a walk.
I'm stuck here with the cats still scared from the thunder and lightening the other night. They follow me everywhere including the bathroom.(I'm a very private person) I've been sleeping like a contortioist because they're in bed with me. But the kids are fine and laughing at me. Those little buggers. My oldest went to visit his new middle school for next years term. He loved it. Sobsob he's growing so fast. He's a great kid and so is his brother.

I have decided to join the Top Branch Club. After watching my father this week go through hell, I have decided that I don't want my children to see me like this.
He is still holding his own, though we did have some scares today. The doctor told us (around 1:30 this afternoon) that he only had a "few hours" left, well that was 14 hours ago. He and Mom are both sleeping comfortably now.
I have gone from a pack a day, to only 1 smoke every 3 hours. I CAN DO THIS!! I have to do this.

Did someone do something about one of my negative reps too? All of a sudden my most recent one from a newbie just dissappeared...

I hope she is resting as well. I did speak with her last night and she does miss everyone especially her bestest friend CBW.
As of last night Dad was still holding on - J and her whole family by his side. Her mom sounds so incredible. I didn't speak to her Mom, but just the things J was telling me.
J herself is amazing.
Continue to keep all of them in your thoughts and prayers.

Personally I find it hard to keep secrets, but I have locked my lips on this one. Giggle
Well, I got a little rest. Everything is still the same with Dad. Mom is taking Day shift, I have nights. My ubby treated her to a dinner fit for a princess last night. He grilled her out some salmon made fresh garlic bread with olive oil and herbs, wine spritzer, all by candlelight.
Now, here I sat in a hospital room with a tele that changes channels all by itself. LOL, so I took the mini DVD and watched movies with Dad. Took his favorite comedy in for him to watch. We had a grand time last night.

Hey you Joe, how are thing with you? Howis the super family? The weather took a change for the better so now we are always outside! Hot hot hot!
I am okay. Superbaby family is doing good. Joshua has a little cough and has been a bit cranky at times but I think it has been way way too hot lately. Humiditity high. So it is kind of uncomfortable. We are getting some thunderstorms this afternoon. Should cool things down.
Neurologists appoinment went good. Drive was good. Very long day the other day but it was worth the trip. The baby and Wife were hungrey and cranky but that happens when your out in about.
Waiting for a while to see that doctor but I had Joshua in my arms the whole time and everybody was admiring His big bright brown eyes and how old he looks.
He turned 8 months the other day where does the time go by.
Trying for an afternoon nap, do not know if it will work. Thank you for asking Startover.

I'm thinking of you J_9.
And now for just a little venting, because I'm irritated, and don't want to sem rude on someone's post...
How the heck do these peoples condoms keep "breaking"? I mean I have used condoms for a little over 7 years and never once have I had one break... never! I just don't get it... are they lying to make themselves feel better about being completely stupid and not using protection or are they just not sure how to properly use a condom?? I have never heard that excuse so many times in my life until I came here... Why don't they just suck it up and admit they made a mistake... I mean really.. I got pregnant young, and I own up to it.
Phew... ok I'm better now.
JoeCanada76
May 31, 2007, 12:39 PM
Or maybe there just complete f------ idiots and actually do not know how to use the condom properly and that is why it is happening. They also should know carrying them around in there wallet will make it useless for protection or if they are past date.
I even heard one person claiming that they tried using the condom twice. VERY STUPID.
Anyway, thank you for taking away from my post, JUST KIDDING. Now you have me venting too. Lol

It is just a matter of people not owning up any more. Excuses, excuses. So many people do not want to take responsibility for their actions. I am tired of it too! Thanks for venting it feels good huh? You are a little better than me because sometimes I just put my venting on the post and then sometimes my credibility is gone. Hope you feel better!
Joe, someone used one twice? We got our four kids from the pull-out method, it really does not work. I don't mind though, they are all the best mistakes I have ever made in my life! Not to say they were really mistakes because I can take responsibility for my actions, they are alive and I am good to them. There! I am done now!

JoeCanada76
May 31, 2007, 12:53 PM
Startover, I hope you do not think anything was aimed at anybody here. I am talking about the ones that claim to use the condom and oh it broke. Lets just say I have used many condoms and never had it break once.
As far as pulling out and getting pregnant that way. You both as a couple knew the possibility and there were the greatest gifts but we are talking or I am talking about the kids that are out messing around now. They have no idea, they have no common sense, The ones that we see on these boards anyway. The ones that do not want to take any responsibility for their actions.
So I hope my comments were not taken as I think of it that way for everybody, just the ones that come up with excuses and do not want to take responsibility for their activities.
