I've heard rumours about another bond movie, but nothing concrete.
I don't think there are any more ian flemming bond titles left.
I know quantum of solace was just taken out of one of his notepads, there wasn't even a story behind it, just those three words
Basically this:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1074638/
I think I heard it was delayed because the film company that makes the bond movies went bust
I think I might have been getting it confused with james bond: blood stone (which is a new bond video game)

Good Morning Everyone. Someone said the magic word it looks like. Looks to be windy here today and tomorrow. Are you getting some strong winds Stringer?
No we haven't Adam, actually I just heard that today is supposed to be about 70 degrees and sunny. But cooling off tonight and tomorrow.
We live in an area that is pretty flat Adam but you live in the 'flatlands' my friend. I have been stuck near Indianapolis several times and got caught in some those blizzards. :)

I went to school with this kid and he is a hot shot photographer down state from me. He posted this thing on his Facebook about needing a sales person that can sell from home and networking sites. Whatever, right, I sent an email. I knew him from school so how bad can he be. I was on the phone with him this morning. We chatted and he was in my husbands circle of friends in school. They were all pretty tight. So he said with the connection we have he hired me on the spot. I have to set up an email, another Facebook and from there I am not 100% sure. But I work the hours I want and put the effort I want in it since its commission. Perfect.
Here is his site. intro (http://www.fotolightroom.com/)

Sunny, I hate to say this but I think its called 'new salesman's syndrome'. The salesman always sticks their friends and acquaintances first and gets them on board because they are the easiest marks. You say, well I know him, how bad can it be. I have heard that so many times before. Just be careful and don't put any money out 'as an initial investment'. I hope he hasn't asked you do that yet.

Thanks tick. I am always a little leary (sp?) of these things. I am not putting out a penny that's the only reason I even considered it. I never would spend a cent for anything like this. I know about far to many scammers out there. I questioned him how it was going to work and he seemed to have it all figured out. It doesn't sound to me like its going to work but I said since its just networking for him and what not I will try. I do have the time right now to take a minute so why not try. I am out nothing. Although when I mentioned his name to my husband he laughed. Not a good sign!! Oh I am sure I will keep you updated on this. It's a hunch it won't work the way he wants but maybe I am wrong.

The trip was pretty nice, I didn't go there to fish though, just to vacation and see a little history. Went on a few ghost tours while I was there and that was pretty cool because Gettysburg is supposed to be one of the most haunted places or something like that. Went out during the day and lounged around the hotel in the room or in the hot tub or pool or something. I really miss vacation, all I can do is think about it and want to go back or somewhere else, haha.

I am complaining that he has no respect for us employees because I know where he has spent cash all week and it wasn't back in the business. But all us workers only brought home half our pay or less. Well she was running around having a good time. The neighbors cat was after her from what I heard. But my son grabbed on to her. She was kicking and scratching him and he wouldn't let her go. I was proud of him. She has some power in those back legs. I know the scratches hurt him but he wouldn't let her go until I came over. She is pretty tame but she loves to run. Catching her is a sport in itself.

[QUOTE=Unknown008;2584499]Ow... you should have had very strong winds for that [/QUOTE
A storm came up from the gulf two days ago, supposed to cover all the way the eastern seaboard and middle states to Ontario and then turn west across Canada. Winds were believed to reach 60km/H. We only got a smattering in Ontario off and on for a couple of days, but out to Manitoba, a lot of flooding from lakes and rivers being blown in land.
The blizzard predicted for Tuesday night in eastern Ontario never materialized.
Just so you know where all that wind came from, unk.
Weather has been so bad out in western Canada all summer and fall, our potato crop rotted in the ground. So look for some expensive potatoes soon.

Where is everyone? :( Of course, it is early. My internal time clock is still messed up after our honeymoon, but I have to go back to work today so I guess I will have to get back on track.
Anyway, I am home! The wedding was perfect and the honeymoon was wonderful. Now it's time to get back to the real world, but first maybe I'll try and sleep just a little more. :) I'll post a couple of pictures later.

Been busy with exams for me JLo. Wednesday will be the 'big' day, the only day we have 3 exam papers in one day and I'll say at school till 4.45 pm, the first time I will stay there until then...
Well, I'm going offline for sometime now. I had a french paper today. It was okay except for my summary... I'm not good at summaries... =S I tend to write more than required...

They pay us well. It's all factored in, plus I get 7 weeks of vacation a year. We just have to take it between May and November when things aren't so busy. I like the challenge. John is a hard worker and spends long hours at work, so it all works out. You know - work hard, play hard... ummm, oops - mind's going in the gutter. :p

JLo one month already. Gosh it just doesn't seem it. Time flies.
Yep I have a business degree I got out of high school. But after working several years in a bank I realized numbers were my thing. I quit and went back to school for accounting. I was going to continue for a financial service degree and from there not sure. But I was pregnant and I didn't know if I would be able to continue on with a baby. I finished with my 2 year in accounting. Went back in banking and now doing the books where I am now.

Hi Stringer!
I was away for a while...
The big test... not that great. I had something that I needed to recall, that is:
P_i = P_o
Which becomes:
I_iV_i = I_oV_o
but I didn't think that way and was stumped. I skipped this part, but before I could come back, time was up... it was worth 3 marks...
And one last thing I did wrong is the definition of acoustic impedance, where I should have quoted the formula directly instead of looking for a definition I wasn't sure >.< (worth 1 mark)
Z = \rho v
And that to the fact that I didn't have time to review all my work...
Tomorrow is big chemistry. I hope I'll not do it as bad that this one.
Loss of marks are dangerous!!

He said if I wanted to stay here part time until my spot here was filled I could work there part time. But its full time when I am ready. Its almost to perfect. JLO, I wish for you the same happiness that Marta and I have. It is simply wonderful and I still feel like I did when I first looked into those large, deep, dark, mysterious and beautiful eyes of hers. Work to stay happy....

Italy? I would love to see Italy. I would love to see a fashion show in Milan. I would love to see so many things. Thats great. Isnt being a bride the best thing? I was the happiest bride ever on my day. It felt perfect.
I know parts of Italy as well as I do my home town. Years of living and working there and years of visiting. I've made that round trip flight about 25 times (forget exact number) lived there for 6 years and spend a lot of time there almost every year.
Know it well enough I know the seedy underbelly most tourists never know or see. Have friends I still converse with I've known for 25 years there. Have in-laws there and even keep a vehicle registered there in my name for the last 20 years

We have water shortage here :(
Did I mention that I had to have cold showers for nearly a week now?
I don't know what happened exactly, but hot water was no more flowing down the pipes from the solar heater. Fortunately, yesterday, hot water ran once again through the pipes.
Whether the pipe was blocked or there was not enough water pressure to push the water up the tank and down to the bathroom, I don't know...
Anyway, today's exam went on way better than Monday's. I'm relieved. :)

Okay, lame joke.
I read a tip about cooking turkey a few years back. It works quite well. Start by baking the turkey breast side down so all the juices are flowing through the breast. Don't turn it over until the last hour of baking. The white meat comes out so moist.

Certain smells don't bother me a huge amount... others I am hypersensitive to. Puke is one... rotting animal carcasses is pretty unpleasant too... can't say if that is different than a rotting corpse, or how if you aren't aware of what it is.
And I'd rather not find out before my time is up on this earth.

It is veterans day for us to, but we call it Remembrance Day. Years ago everything, including streecars, people on the street stopped on the 11 hour of the 11 day. Now young people don't know what it means. We wear red poppies to remind everyone. It is a wonderful tradition. My son, now 29 but ever since I can remember always wanted a poppy for this time of year.

Thanks guys it was a great day :)
I actually think there are more and more young people aware of Remembrance Day now than ever. I was shocked to see the amount of tween and teens that showed up to show their support. And very respectful through out the entire ceremony. I think so many of us have lost loved ones with this war in Afghanistan and Iraq that Remembrance Day isn't only about remembering our WW2 Vets, it's about remembering the young and the brave who we have been losing unjustly for too long now.
It's terrible but, when I was a young girl in school, we always had school, businesses weren't shut down, every one went about their day, did their 2 minutes of silence at 11, and went on.
Now the whole town was closed down, school was out, stores and malls were closed. I think (personally) to have lost someone during war, and to have to work on the day you are supposed to remember them, is kind of like a slap in the face.
At any rate, I was very pleased to see the amount of people who came out to show support. My father was the parade marshal, he is with the Legion here so he was quite proud of himself, as were we :)

I think a big thing here in the USA is that Memorial day carries a greater significance... as it is dedicated to the fallen soldiers... while Veterans day (remeberance day to the rest of the world) is geared more to the living Veterans than to the fallen (but really covers both).

We do pay respects to our living, but it's a day of remembrance for those who have fallen for the freedom of Canada.
Every year on November 11, Canadians pause in a silent moment of remembrance for the men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace. We honour those who fought for Canada in the First World War (1914-1918), the Second World War (1939-1945), and the Korean War (1950-1953), as well as those who have served since then. More than 1,500,000 Canadians have served our country in this way, and more than 100,000 have died. They gave their lives and their futures so that we may live in peace.
A Day of Remembrance - Veterans Affairs Canada (http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/remembers/sub.cfm?source=history/other/remember/r_intro)
Remembrance Day - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remembrance_Day)
I don't think the American Memorial Day has anymore significance than Canadian Remembrance Day. They are both equally important days.
JoeCanada76
Nov 11, 2010, 11:53 PM
Remembrance Day,
Is about remembering all the sacrifices that were made for all of us.
Remembering all who have died for our freedoms. Remembering all the wars. Remembering all the men and women who have died for our Country.
Through out all the wars that were fought including all the recent lives lost in the war. Also remembering all those that were effected from the wars. Remembering the veterans and also remembering all those that are there to this day.
To say that one is more significance then the other is ignorant.

Actually, they are making it this Sunday. I learned that it was because Mauritius was under the control of the British at that time and that the island was hence in a way involved in the war...

I am leaving for less money. He commented on it. Like how dare I leave for less pay. I commented back everything the job entails is worth more then staying with him. I named my price and got it. Why wouldn't I be happy? I can't wait to start.

Congrats on the new job sunny! I know how much you hate your current boss. I'm happy for you! Celebration margarita's at your house? :D
I ended up making the calzones, they turned out awesome. I found a recipe for Pizza Hut dough. I don't know of it was exactly like pizza hut's dough, but it was goooood. :)
I went into the local grocery store yesterday, and was bombarded with laughing plastic red faced Santa's, jingle bells was being played over the speakers, and I am sure I had an epileptic seizure from all the flashing lights being displayed in the aisles. Wow, Christmas is here eh? I guess I better haul out the old decorations. At least they waited until AFTER Remembrance Day this year.

Firm believer in not burning bridges... been there done that... came back to haunt me in the future. Even a nicely worded lie can be better than the unadulterated truth. YOu never know if you might have to come crawling baci at some point in the future... or that your resume might cross his desk at some point.
But congratulations. Hopefully the job turns out to be everything you hope it will be.

Smoothy thank you. I agree with you totally. But I am 200% sure I will never work for this boss again. Ever. I have never burned a bridge and have been asked to return to 2 places I have worked at. Usually when I make the choice to leave its for a good valid reason. I have several reasons to leave here. If anything here comes back to haunt me it will be on a more personal lever then professional.

From what you have said about the way the ex-boss does business, I am not sure there would be a job to go back to. I think you are getting out of there just before the final meltdown. :(
I am so glad that you got the new job and hope it is everything you want it to be. :)

Well the one time I burned bridges... and it was a monumental fire.. (ever see a multipage letter of resignation? And I'm talking more than 3 pages, naming names and incidents?).. I tried to apply there again between jobs during a down economy... and the embers from a decade earlier were still hot... I know because I talked with a couple people I knew that still worked there after I applied and heard nothing back.
And while what I did had nothing to do with the company as a whole... it was directed at a single manager that was a total incompetent boob... I had to quit to get away from him, he actually prevented a number oif attempts I made to transfer to different departments, and I will stand behind that all the way to my grave.

Now that is burning a bridge. What came of the letter did you ever hear? I am on good terms here. Its mostly personal I need to leave. Plus the business is going down. It was a struggle getting paid for a few weeks here. If I ever chose to go back to a job I left it would be banking. Banks were my thing. But I realized its not too much the bank but the numbers. I am good and them and like doing that kind of work. One reason I am so excited for the new place.

Didn't have friends in Human resources there... but they likely made a poster out of it for all I know.
But seriously... my resume did make it past human resources and actually did make it to the department heads of several groups I could have worked for... it was nixed by a manager or two that might still have been there, I know I did make it as far as consideration. But they didn't know who it was that killed it at that point, just that apparently crap hit the fan after I walked out as a result. I was well known there, and for the most part well liked. Won't go into details (not on the internet)... so lets say... my leaving when I did, caused them a big hardship... (I know this from friends who stayed behind).

Morning Sunny! Get well soon! :)
Rant of today: Another newbie sending a reddie to me... (and I don't think the reason was valid, nor the answer that the latter proposed). Fortunately, I got 4 more greenies today too :p

I don't know if I have the energy today to look in the threads. So sad.

I got a reddie he other day for telling an OP if they had un protected sex, then she could be pregnant. Jeesh!
Hope you feel better soon Sunny! I'm spending the day in bed today. Good day for it, it's cold and rainy today. I'm not feeling so well either. I think I have another sinus infection.

Ah to funny, to funny. Guess you should have said to run out and have a good time. Protection? Don't be silly! What's wrong with people.
The weather is the same way here. I have my heat here at the store on 80 and I have an electric heater on at my feet. I think I am still cold.
Guess what I have to do now if I want to be near the bunny we got? I am so allergic to her I had to use my hubby's inhaler the other night. It was that bad! I had an appointment yesterday for my migraines and told the doctor so he wrote me a prescription for my own inhaler. Most people would think get rid of the rabbit. I say puff puff, come cuddle little bunny! Lol My cats don't bother me as much as the rabbit. I get near the rabbit and bang, I am gasping for every breath I take. Bronchial spasms, I think that's what he called it.

Duh... Aren't that what morning after pills and abortion clinics are intended for? Shirking any form of responsible behavior in the first place?
Makes you wonder if Chastity belts should be installed at the factory... and removed only after they pass a test and are legal age... BOTH.

Hi Everyone. I've been busy lately on the Accounting boards. Such fun... I've gotten a couple of reddies because I wouldn't do their homework. One actually wrote "This is not telling me the answer." I answered "Of course it isn't" - and then she got a little lecture on why I wouldn't do her homework. Even funnier, she had posted at least 6 questions. CurlyBen merged them all, and her thread became a complete mess. I had to laugh. She got no help at all. Anyway, Unky - I'll go check out your reddie since you balanced one for me. :)
Sunny - I'm not surprised you got sick. There was a lot of stress and emotional upheaval for you in the last week or so between getting the new job and telling your old boss. Hope you feel better soon.
I don't even want to think about the pregnancy questions. I just don't understand these people. Do they think or plan ahead at all?!

Hey JLo. Yes your maybe right. I have been trying to change things around with appointments and stuff to get it all in before I start the new job. I don't care about taking time off here. I don't want to do that as a new employee. I just talked with our lawyer this morning about getting the darn closing done for this house. Driving me nuts!

Well, I hope I'll get good marks. I realised I left mistakes here and there and I really hope that they will be small enough. But hey, what is done is done, there's no much use lamenting on this now. Time to look forward and avoid such mistakes in the future! :)

Yeah... it was meant to balance the incorrectly given reddie.
Lot of my reddies (at least the more recent ones) are from idiots with few if any posts. Saw your comment... found the reddie and since nobody else balanced it yet I did it for you. Couldn't say anything witty because I've never taken a statistics course. Wasn't part of the Electronic Engineering program I took.
