That's exciting when your dream works out.
I always wanted to be a model. I don't know why. The glamor of it all I guess. I won a pageant thing back in Jr. high and had to go a few hours away for the next one. But my mom wouldn't take me. How rude of her.

adam_89
Aug 27, 2009, 07:28 AM
That is rude of her. How come you never pursued it more?

Do you have a pic posted in the "pictures of our members" thread? Or anywhere?

88sunflower
Aug 27, 2009, 07:38 AM
Ya I have pictures posted on the members area, a few I believe. Oh I am not model material, but back then that's what my dream was. Now I am still figuring out what I want to do.

88sunflower

adam_89
Aug 27, 2009, 07:46 AM
Holy crap I found it on my second click. I am so amazed how easy that was. At least that time. Oh and OH MY GOD. You are beautiful Sunny. What the hell is this talk about not being model material? You are crazy if you think you couldn't model.

Of all the nerve of you to talk about me when you think I am not here!
One of my friends stopped in to say hello so I was busy for a minute. I do have the #'s though even though you found it. 283, 379,560.
I have my pages set up for 40 posts so I can't do page number.

shazamataz
Aug 27, 2009, 08:19 AM
Oh don't complain, we talk about everyone behind their backs :p

I only do 10 posts per page :o

88sunflower
Aug 27, 2009, 08:24 AM
I used to do 10, but its easier catching up with more on a page.

adam_89
Aug 27, 2009, 08:42 AM
Yea, I only do ten per page, I didn't know you could do more but I don't like change anyway.

So I will go check these out now. Oh and I would never talk about you behind your back intentionally.

88sunflower
Aug 27, 2009, 08:52 AM
Change can be good. But I have a hard time with it to.

By the way just remember you are still tied up and my temporary slave.

Hey guys.

I did file a police report... over the phone.

As for my car insurance- really in the end it cost me LESS to pay for the damage myself than to report it to them-- my insurance will go up! It's already high at it is [at a basic minimum coverage].

I was pretty furious yesterday. Today I feel better though :)

Sorry to hear about your personal experiences.. this really sucks!

Ah well...

How is everyone else today?

I went to the gym in the morning for my barbell workout class-- you got that right baby ;) My farking arms hurt! Gah.

I will post my after body later ;) winkity wink wink.

Sunny, if there's one thing I've learned in my 38 years, it's this.

It doesn't matter how you look, it's how you carry yourself that attracts people. I'm not ugly, but I'm no super model. I have confidence in myself, I worked hard to get that confidence, and that's what most men find attractive.

If you have confidence then you can walk into any room and own it.

Great, now I sound conceited. ;)

I don't mind doing favors for people, if they're legitimate favors. Asking me to help with a resume, or looking after someone's kids while they go out for an interview, those kinds of favors are okay in my book.

Asking me to host a birthday party in my house when I'm already stressed and over extended, that's not okay. ;)

Why? Do you have a favor to ask me? ;)

Burnt boobs aren't fun. I know that all too well because of a topless beach encounter in Germany.

Burnt boobs aren't fun. I know that all too well because of a topless beach encounter in Germany.

I burned parts of my body that I've never burned before. Some things shouldn't be exposed to the sun. :(

Yes, some girls has them covered up to protect them from the dragon, but some wenches had them popping out, in hopes of landing themselves a wealthy husband... Hips were a big thing back in those days too... :)

Alty at a topless beach?

Why wasn't I told of this and where are the pictures?

Too bad you got burnt... That's not fun... I have never been sunburnt before, but it could be because I'm already kind of dark...

Haha... I could be the Black Knight... :)

How the h*ll do I get myself into these things!?

This birthday party for my son started as only a 'family' cookout... maybe 10 - 12 people..

Now the count is up to 53 and raising! Forget the steaks that we were planning to have... burgers!

All my son's softball team are coming now with their wives and girlfriends... and their kids!

Poor Marta, this happens every time, we love to throw parties, but it seems it always gets out of hand.

Everyone is going to stay outside, I don't give a d*mn if it is pouring rain and lightning!

Lately, between all the birthdays, graduations, anniversaries and all... we have put out at least $3,500.00 BUCKS!

And now, my lovely daughter in law (I do love her, yeah) is emailing me and putting a list together of what we need and who is expected to bring/get it. And guess what our name appears 75% of the time!

Going crazy here! And getting a little upset...:eek::rolleyes::) Everyone thinks I am their banker. I don't mind parties, we enjoy them with family and friends... but come on now! This is going to run me another $6-650.00 craziness ! Not to mention that we will have to have the cleaning people come an extra day this week!

Had to vent!

I used to have a punishment called 'life of misery' for my children,it was only used for serious offences...
Part of the life of misery was, apart from the no phone,TV,early bedtime, was the offender had to stay with me.. all day if it was a Saturday, that meant listening to me garbal on and on.. and on..
I would also make the offenders favourite dinner or take a way and serve it to everyone else and they would get a well balanced meal!
It was hell for both me and the poor child!
I would just like to add 'life of misery' started when my daughters hit their teens!

Okay, now I need to vent...

A guy posted an ad on craigslist, trying to buy a dog. A dog for his daughter. He didn't provide any more information.

I figured that he should get one from a shelter or an unwanting home, instead of buying one.

So, I sent him an email:
I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but I'm going to tell you anyway.

1: Instead of buying a dog, get one for free. Take one from a local shelter that will be put down without an owner. Or, even just look under "free" on Craigslist. There are plenty of unwanted dogs you could take.

2: If your daughter isn't old enough to get her own dog, then she is too young for a puppy. I don't know how old she is, but if you are still having to get her a dog, then getting her a puppy would just be a huge disaster. You would be much better off getting an already grown dog. Better for you, your daughter, and the dog.

3: Also, remember that dogs are a responsibility. You can't realistically get a dog for your daughter and expect her to take care of it. You would be the one taking care of it, and you are being unrealistic to think your daughter will. If you tell her "you can only keep it if you take care of it" she may for a while, but she won't keep it up. Either, you'll end up caring for it, and she'll keep taking advantage of you, or you'll hold to your word, and that's basically animal cruelty.

Good luck with your dog, but an educated dog owner is a more responsible dog owner.

He replied: (Same font and bold, except his was size 18!)
a dude check this out my daughter is 18months old.and i am a responsible dog owner i have a dog now that ive had for what 6 years, and she is suppose to be mine and my boys dog they are 10-13 but in the end i take care of them i feed them give them water and take them out for jogs and run with them at the park. I know i will end up taking care of it but im fine with that i would just like to see a happy smile on here face instead of being scared of animals. and a puppy can grow with her get my drift. i understand ur concern but not all people are alike some of us do know what we are doing here ur not the only one who knows about animals .i personally think though that as long as im doing what i need to you need to stay out of my bussiness, not to be mean but im no kid for u to try to talk to like that if you like though lets meet in person and ill show you what im talking about ok be a man and back up your belief so go ahead and give me your address and ill see youi soon until then dont message me back.

I have to say, punishing your child is often more of a punishment for you.

Who wants to listen to a whiny kid complain that their TV and phone have been taken away for a day?

It's my Saturday, I plan to enjoy it.

So, the punishment in our house keeps the kids busy, out of my hair and works like a charm.

We have three dogs, they all poo at least 2 times a day, if not more. Whenever one of the kids crosses the line, they get to go in the backyard and pick up dog poo.

Depending on how long it's been since the last punishment, this can take anywhere from 1 hour to 1 week.

Point one for Mommy. :)

a dude check this out my daughter is 18months old.and I am a responsible dog owner I have a dog now that I've had for what 6 years, and she is suppose to be mine and my boys dog they are 10-13 but in the end I take care of them I feed them give them water and take them out for jogs and run with them at the park. I know I will end up taking care of it but I'm fine with that I would just like to see a happy smile on here face instead of being scared of animals. And a puppy can grow with her get my drift. I understand your concern but not all people are alike some of us do know what we are doing here your not the only one who knows about animals .I personally think though that as long as I'm doing what I need to you need to stay out of my business, not to be mean but I'm no kid for you to try to talk to like that if you like though lets meet in person and ill show you what I'm talking about OK be a man and back up your belief so give me your address and ill see youi soon until then don't message me back.

Not to encourage you to write back HH, but this would be my response, and I'll keep it PG because I'm on AMHD. :(

Dear irresponsible, uneducated, chat speak talking, wannabe dog owner.

You're getting a puppy for your 18 month old daughter and don't see a problem with that? You may have dogs, you may have kids, but you don't know crap about having either one.

Dude, an 18 month old baby doesn't need a puppy dude. You get my drift?

Also, if you already have a dog and your daughter is afraid of animals, why would you get another? Why is your daughter afraid? Did your other dog attack her? What's up with that dude?

Thank you for writing back. At first I thought you were a responsible dog owner, that you would want the information I had and you'd be grateful. Now I realize that you don't have a clue what owning a dog is all about, you don't have the brains God gave a goat and you're reproducing when you probably shouldn't be.

As for meeting up with you in a dark alley. No thank you. I'm smarter then that, sadly, you aren't.

Good luck with your puppy. Good luck to the puppy.

Peace out dude. :(

Actually, I have his name, it's D Guerrero (only first initial to protect his privacy). The email gave it to me. Unfortunately, it also gave him mine, and if he cares do to a Google search of my real name, he may just find some way to locate me.
I'm smart enough not to say something to further provoke someone being idiotic and irresponsible, what would he do to me if I drove him crazy with logic?

Lol :p:rolleyes:

i used to have a punishment called 'life of misery' for my children,it was only used for serious offences...
part of the life of misery was, apart from the no phone,tv,early bedtime, was the offender had to stay with me..all day if it was a saturday, that meant listening to me garbal on and on..and on..
i would also make the offenders favourite dinner or take a way and serve it to everyone else and they would get a well balanced meal!
it was hell for both me and the poor child!
i would just like to add 'life of misery' started when my daughters hit their teens!

Ya well I think hanging with his mommy all day is his misery. We are sitting on his bedroom floor deciding what's garbage and what can be kept. He hates getting rid of things. Poor kid.

Alty you're a genius. I may go get me a pack of dogs. In the end its worth it.

I'm with you Starby,why punish myself ?

Grounding was an absolute nightmare for me,I came up with all kinds of creative ways to get my message across but I rarely resorted to grounding.

When I did ground it was with the implicit directive"If you pi$$ and moan about it ,we can add on another day".

That was pretty effective.

I used to get a lot of heavy sighs and pouty looks but one look from me and it was "I'm not sayin nothin".

Its funny to remember when I had such a hold over them.

The good old days. :D

Ah! I'm glad I missed the freak session. I must have been all snug in my bed, dreaming happy dreams, snuggling with my dog. Yes, my dog. The little bugger is sleeping on the bed.

It's not that he doesn't love to cuddle, he just gets too hot, he doesn't like being restricted, he likes to move around, flail his arms and legs, toss and turn. That's not possible when snuggling.

Then I'd get to hear them chewing on their bones outside the door.

Seriously, they sit by the door and wait for us to "finish". It's distracting.

I need the headphones, to block out the howling, barking and door scratching.

Actually, Indy is good about it, of course he's lived with it for 14 years. I just say "Indy, out" and he gives me that "Not again!" look, hangs his head and leaves.

Jasper looks at me like I'm crazy and Chewy just plants his butt down and refuses to leave, probably because he thinks we're playing and not letting him join in.
