Hey Momma, my sweet inner circle girl!! I guess I kept missing you today. I loved all of your quotes! I really laughed at the one that said...If you can't dance, don't blame the dance floor!
Are you sure I can't? I'm pretty sure it was the dance floors fault a few times! It had nothing to do with who I was dancing with, or the fact that I had had several beer (rich in vitamins I'll have you know :D) or that I had a few Tequila chasers ( Hey tekillya is alright as long as you have a lime with it, it's a serving of fruit isn't it?)
I know one time when dancing with that damn Brit, it was his and the dance floors fault. He twirled me...and just forgot to catch me!! The dance floor was so darn slippery (that's my story and I'm stickin to it) that I went head long into the wall (the walls fault) and sliced my hand open on my brothers drum cases. Again, drum cases fault!
So I question your sources who gave you that quote!! I bet they are floor layers, or carpenters of some sort! :D
Hi honey. There were times when the floor moved on me too - but I tried my best to balance and fake it. After about 5 Gins straight or Irish Coffee - boy did that floor spin! Gosh, I miss the dancing but not the booze.. I have to admit it was all my fault though...

HEy starbs, I about to leave for the night, but not before I send you and MommaC my spyder kisses!
*kisses (smooch smooch)
Did you just eat something? One of those kisses was pretty wet! But I'm used to wet kisses from Alexander - and love every one of them.
Last night I called while he was in the bathtub, and I asked him if he was splashing around, so he started splashing (heard it in the background). I told him to splash Mommy, and he did - she eeeked. Then I gave him a loud kiss and he kissed me back on the phone and said ciao before he gave the phone back to his mom - she thanked me for the splashing in a sort of sarcastic way. I can't for the life of me think what I did wrong.. I'm only being a grandma and loving it! That little fellow is just so sweet and wonderful! Got to think of what else I can talk him into doing next time.. hahaha.. I already bought a paint set, so we'll see how mom appreciates that once we try it out.

A SMALL SET OF... DRUMS!! That will work!! When Bryan (my son) was 2 one of my sisters bought him a set... I looked (glared) at her and she just smiled. She said "now I am even for all those things you did to me when we were younger!" And she did get even, she showed him how to POUND on the drums. He learned quickly; morning, mid
Day, evening and at night... BAM... BAM... BAM...

Oh, Stringer, darling.. give me a few to wipe my happy tears! That was lovely, thanks so much.
On the subject of drums... I used to let my daughter take out the pots and pans and wooden cooking spoons to have some fun in the kitchen while I was doing something else. She had a lot of fun. Her pots are a little to expensive for that though, so I think drums are a good idea - as long as he does not play them when Daddy is around. Alex has a little Popcorn Roller, that just pops and pops while he pushes it and it drives his Daddy crazy, but he's cool about it for a while.
Even though I'm looking forward to the wedding reception, Daddy and Alex have a slight flu bug now, and Mom might get it too within a few days.. so I sure hope they can handle it as it is too late to cancel. At least the guests should be encouraged to drink a strong drink with lemon in it to protect themselves or should I bring along my box o face-masks and pass them out to all the guests?? Now that would really be funny, but it would protect them. And I'll just flipping be upset if it snows on that day! - I just hate know and hoped I'd never see it again for as long as I live.
If it snows here too much, can I use your place in Florida for a few weeks? - Only if I can kidnap Alexander and take him with me...

Glad that you like the drum idea...
Yep, the problem only increases with all the kissing that usually goes on, you know...
Florida condo... yep and bring Alex... although we haven't had time to go in the last couple years. But my business partner and his wife are returning tomorrow from their 3rd trip in the last 6 weeks. Something is wrong with this picture...
I know that yo are thinking... just go, easier said than done lately with my business crisis going on...
We love you,:):):)

Stringer dear, it seems that he is not taking the crisis as serious as you are. I think I need to send him a virtual kick in the arse! Wish I could find and send you a more competent partner. Could they both be trying to have as much fun now before all the money is gone, and don't care?? Yup, the KICK is over-due in my book.
Hearing this makes me downright mad. If I could afford it, I'd bring my family for an extended stay there so that he cannot escape to it for a while - that would teach him a lesson. Send me his name per email so that I can put him on my Spook List so that he'll never get any rest once I start spooking.

LUB you both!

All went super yesterday at the wedding reception for Alexander's parents. Dan even let me give him a kiss on the cheek and a hug.. I also got invited to Thanksgiving and Christmas. Wow, this is so heartwarming! It took a lot of tears and patience and am glad that it's happened. I promised I'd behave and I did. Kept myself busy with old friends and just enjoyed watching Alex play. He was so good even though he'd been up for over 8 hours, and still was laughing and smiling at everybody. That's my grandson.. always ready for any occasion and so cheerful too! Didn't have time to take any pictures, but my Italian son did, so as soon as I get them, I'll post. It was snowing when we went home, but I trusted Dan's driving as he was in Alaska, so he knows how to handle that yucky stuff. Some cool guy my daughter fell in love with - just downright makes me happy!
I'm sure that all of your best wishes and prayers had a lot to do with this too - so thank you all ever so much.
I dearly love my family! That means all of you too!

Irish Luck - Remember to send it back!
I want this back. It DOES work.
His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog.
There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself.. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death.
The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved.
'I want to repay you,' said the nobleman. 'You saved my son's life.'
'No, I can't accept payment for what I did,' the Scottish farmer replied waving off the offer. At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel...
'Is that your son?' the nobleman asked.
'Yes,' the farmer replied proudly.
'I'll make you a deal. Let me provide him with the level of education my own son will enjoy If the lad is anything like his father, he'll no doubt grow to be a man we both will be proud of.' And that he did.
Farmer Fleming's son attended the very best schools and in time, graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.
Years afterward, the same nobleman's son who was saved from the bog was stricken with pneumonia.
What saved his life this time? Penicillin.
The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill .. His son's name?
Sir Winston Churchill.
Someone once said: What goes around comes around.
Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
Dance like nobody's watching.
Sing like nobody's listening.
Live like it's Heaven on Earth.
It's National Friendship Week. Send this to
everyone you consider
A FRIEND.
Pass this on, and brighten some one's day.
AN IRISH FRIENDSHIP WISH: You had better send
this back!! Good Luck!
I hope it works...
May there always be work for your hands to do;
May your purse always hold a coin or two;
May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
May the hand of a friend always be near you;
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
And may you be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows you're dead.
OK, this is what you have to do.... Send this to all of your friends.
But - you HAVE to send this within 1 hour from when you open it!
Now..... Make a wish!! I hope you made your wish!
Now then, if you send to:
1 person --- your wish will be granted in 1 year
3 people --- 6 months
5 people --- 3 months
6 people --- 1 month
7 people --- 2 weeks
8 people --- 1 week
9 people --- 5 days
10 people --- 3 days
12 people --- 2 days
15 people --- 1 day
20 people --- 3 hours

It's time to laugh Momma... or at least chuckle;
Spread the Stupidity
Only in America... do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.
Only in America... do people order double
Cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke.
Only in America... do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.
Only in America... do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage.
Only in America... do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight.
Only in America... do they have drive-up
ATM machines with Braille lettering.
EVER WONDER ...
Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens
Our skin?
Why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?
Why don't you ever see the headline 'Psychic Wins Lottery'?
Why is 'abbreviated' such a long word?
Why is it that doctors call what they do 'practice'?
Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dish washing liquid made with real lemons?
Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?
Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?
Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?
Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?
You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?
Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?
Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?
If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?
Now that you've smiled at least once, it's your turn to spread the stupidity and send this to someone you want to bring a smile to (maybe even a chuckle)... in other words, send it to everyone. We all need to smile every once in a while...

My dearest AMHD Family... you are the greatest! I have been weak and ill a lot lately and have missed you all. Reading your posts of encouragement make me feel so warm and loved and I want you to know I appreciate it with all my heart.
I am as well as can be. Considering that the doctors did not expect me to be around any more, - guess weeds don't go that easy. My body is drained of energy though, so am saving as much as I can for Alexander. My brother is coming to visit me Jan 15-21 and I am looking forward to it so much. Even though I am not on the site that often, I want you all to know that you are all on my mind and I wish you all the best in the coming new year. I made a graphic greeting, and had to mess it up on the AHMD/AMHD - but I hope you overlook this little error. What's important is that you are my extended family and I wish every one of you all the best and send you my love and thanks from the bottom of my heart for your support.

Hi you two, how are my new experts doing? Congrats, you deserved it.
I too spent the New Year at home alone with my poor Larry, who has a heart condition, so he deserved to know that his Momma was there for him. He found a hiding place where he could look out and see me, so he really needed to know I was there.

Happy New Year to all of you too. I wish for all good health and contentment this coming year.
Went to my 'adopted' son's house for dinner last night, Alex and Dad could not make it, but Jaime and I had a great time, relaxed, and wonderful. Guilio's BF Uwe cooked and he made my favorite - Château Briand with Bernaise Sauce. Before that, we had Shrimp Fettuchini and a salad. Then for desert it was fruit salad. Uwe is a Professional Florist with his own store and he's also a Cook. Needless to say - it was the best I've eaten in years. All in all it was a wonderful 'girl's night out'. Have not felt so good in months..

My 'adopted son's' sister (Jaime) and his boyfriend Uwe relaxing after a wonderful dinner. Giulio and I are naturally in the next room working on his computer and playing with his two cats. The poor cats did not have their windowsills to jump on because they were full of candles and christmas decorations. You can't do much with small apartments. Jaime and I received bunches of beautiful white roses too. Will be in pain today due to sitting too long, but it was all worth it.

Morning (afternoon now) to you too my MOSTEST. I hope that now you get a chance to relax a bit after the holidays. They can be fun but also exhausting, but once a year they are worth it all. Take advantage of that new chair as often as possible and tank up on some new energy. We are not getting any younger and have to accept that fact, even though most of us stay young at heart, like you, my dear.

Hey my warrior! I think a lot of us are glad it's over for a while, next is Easter, I think. But at least no fireworks which freak most pets out and poor Larry is glad it's over too.
Believe it or not, I still did not get the x-mas gifts that I had planned, but they will eventually be gotten and sent... I admit I'm slow. As a matter of fact, the film of Alexander on the day he was born was just finished and shown to Jaime on Saturday this year. She cried tears of joy when she saw it and that made me feel good that I was able to do something special for her (I had to convert it because there was only sound and no picture, so I had to work on it for a while, but finally got it done right). When I make a promise, I keep it, no matter how long it takes. Just a few things like my cancer, no job, less money, and other things got into the way but I have not forgotten. And now, in 10 days, my brother will be here and I will spend every available hour with him and Alex because I cannot get enough of them.
So... three cheers for 'normality'! (If we can call it that)

Your Momma C.
You did look great my dear, can you feel all the love coming at cha??
I always behave Momma, the problem is keeping these 'lil brats from puttin' dresses on the little male puppies... but that's only one thing. I would use up way too many KB's if I listed the many devious things they have done AND that they are planning... always planning those gwiols... BRATS I tell you!! They wear me out trying to keep them out of trouble...

I know it's a tough job, my MOSTEST, but someone's got to do it and I can't think of a better 'big brother' and also know those girls just love you lots.
No need to list things because this Momma knows what her kids are capable of by heart. Mothers always know these things - it's natural instinct.

For Chery aka Momma C,
Starbuck8 aka Starby and I have been talking about doing this for a while, so here it goes. Chery, we hope you don't mind.
As many of you may know, Chery has terminal cancer, and she’s recently taken a turn for the worse.
Chery has been a member of AMHD for many years; she is a wonderful person, a great listener, and a great problem solver.
Chery is always there when she’s needed, call on her and she comes running, ready to give a hug, a kind word, whatever is needed. Now she needs us, she needs our support during this difficult trial.
What can I say about Momma C, there’s so much to say. She is everything rolled in to one, and I, for one, consider myself blessed because she is my friend.
Tears are running down my cheeks as I’m writing this, I don’t know what to say, how to describe someone who is indescribable?
I know that all of you want to give her the support that she’s always given to us on AMHD. It’s our turn to give a shoulder, to lend an ear, to be there for our wonderful Momma C.
Hopefully you are all allot more eloquent than I am. ;)
Chery, all I can say is this, I love you dear, you have made such a big difference in my life. I’ve never seen you face to face, never held your hand, never gave you a real bear hug, but that doesn’t matter. I see your heart every time you write something on this site. I see your soul when you talk to us. You are an angel on earth, a bona fide angel, and you are loved.
I don't know Chery but I can see by these posts that it is my MIS-fortune. She sounds like a true reflection of Gods love. I think this is a beautiful thing you have done here and it tells me a lot about YOU. I noticed this thread is kind of old. How is she doing now?

Hi Cozyk,
Chery is the ultimate survivor and mentor to all of us. Knowing that she is there is enough for her 'fans' to revel in her caring love and thoughtfulness for us...
Yeah she is fine, and we are the ones that benefit from her concern for us...

Hi Cozyk, (aka Kim... I peeked, lol)
You'll love our sweet Chery, just like we do. It wouldn't be AMHD without her! She keeps us kids in line around here. Right Stringy? Got to watch out for Stringy, he likes to bug us girls. He pulls our hair and stuff... heehee! That's when Momma C steps in and gives him 3 lashes with a wet noodle!
Chery is hanging in there! Hopefully right now she is spending time with the love of her life---her grandson Alex, and having a great time with him as usual. I hope she doesn't wear herself out too much.
I know Chery will be happy that you stopped by and said hi. We haven't been here for awhile. We stay locked up in our castle all of time. It's about time we came back here once in awhile, although Chery tracks us down wherever we are! :D

Well, if you washed that smelly hair of her's only ONCE in a while... I wouldn't have to do it for you. And besides, she was singing all the while anyway... she loved it. 'Cept when her head got stuck in the toilet drain, MAN... I had to pull her feet so hard that her head almost came off... but I persisted... kept pulling... and it popped back out. It was just a little loose though and kind of on backwards... so what wrong with a dolly that has a slanted head anyway?

Hey Starty, I was about to go to bed and saw this pop up. Yes, Chery wrote the other day. She was doing a tiny bit better, enjoying Alex and wanting to be there for Jamie. She just has such a struggle with the heat. She wants so much to get some energy back to come back online.
Hope you are well Starty! I will write more later, have a virus or some quirky thing. Miss you and everyone. I haven't been on here much lately either but I trust all of us will soon return and enjoy being together again soon. Sweet Dreams!

Thanks dearest. Love and miss you too. All of you.
I am not in the best of health and naturally a bit depressed - but still alive and sassy as ever.
Sorry that I don't visit here much, but I don't think that I could concentrate on giving my best at this time and not much energy for the lounge.
Please pass on my best wishes and hugs to all.
Hopefully, I will be back soon. My grandson helps me through things a lot - he is almost 3 now and I just found out that he is going to be a big brother in 8 months... again Jaime does not want to know what it is going to be.. so I might never know - but will see while I am spooking.
My monster is 8 cm large now, but being slow and easy on me.. but still have to spend most of my time in bed and on oxygen - and pain meds which I don't like much.I welcome mail from my AMHD family. You can also post this in the lounge if you like dears.
Love and Hugs, your Chery

Just a quick note, not a lot of info but Chery told me the other day that it even hurt her fingers to type. She is sure not one to want us feeling sorry for her though as you all know. That girl is one hard fighter and I respect that so much! On a higher note, she has been able to spend quite a bit of time with her sweet grandson Alex and he is the light of her life. She has felt bad not to be able to be a part of the AMHD family for awhile and is hoping her health will improve enough to get on the site soon. She does appreciate all the love being sent her way! Have a great night/day to each of you! One more bit of info. Chery's brother was able to stop over for a visit before going back to Afghanistan so that was a real blessing to her.

Recently received from Chery, I'm sure she won't mind it being posted here for all of her friends to see..
My dear friends.. instead of repeating myself and typing again - here is what I passed on to my brothers to let them know what is going on with me.
Lloyd, I hope this finds you in good health and spirits and please pass my love on to Marta.
Jan, the package finally got here and the German Customs have it. They want to see my receipt for purchase and more, so if I have to have them return it, please send it to my daughter's military P.O. Box address so that no customs has to be paid. I wish it did not cause such ruckus as I wanted to give it to Alex on the 29th of this month on his birthday, but I cannot afford to pay any customs tax or fees. I will first reitterate that this is a gift from a friend and not a purchase and hope that they close one eye..
Janine and Ben, I hope that you and yours are well and that you look at them and count your blessings. It was wonderful getting to know all of you and I miss being active on AMHD, but my energy just does not last long. Please pass on my love to all the others.
Start, my warrior, keep on giving all the love you can to those who never really had it before and share the good things in life which are very far and few between. Love you with all my heart... all of you.
Without you and all you prayers, I think I would have been gone a long time ago. I sincerely believe that and feel blessed.
Below is what I conveyed to Ed and John...
Well, my dearest brothers.. it was wonderful seeing you both again this year. Thank you John for coming all the way to be with me and thanks Ed for coming by shortly to say hi and not getting my blood pressure up. I love, miss and worry about you both all the time - because I am your sister and always have loved you, worried about you and miss you. On top of that I am proud of you two for learning skills and reaching some achievements that others could not manage if they worked on them all their lives. I know we have different ideals in life, different ethics, but that is what makes us unique - special as a family. And one great thing we have in common is the love for my daughter Jaime and her little one who is the most beautiful angel this world has ever seen. I am so proud of my daughter for turning out the way she did, her achievements, ease in doing things in her life that make her happy and giving me the most greatest gift in the world - Alexander. There would have been another little one but she lost it and Dan promised they will try again when he comes back.
She asked me today that if I knew what I know now, would I have done chemo and let them operate on me. My answer is still NO - as I studied medicine and worked in Pulmonary Disease long enough to know that that would have killed me earlier and that would have taken the time I had with Alex from me and nobody can take those wonderful memories, even though I cannot walk and play fussball with him anymore, we did have that time and I did have him from when he was born until December of that year every day. I watched him go through a popped bellybutton (like Ed), severe constipation (where I exercised with him and gave him milk sugar to help him poop at least once a week) I was proud of every new step he took in his life while he learned new things. Now he is such a doting young gentleman - when he wants to be- and takes such tender care of Oma when we are together. He comes and gives me kisses all on his own without ever being forced and brings me my cane and oxygen machine for my ''ouwah''. I got him his first bubble blower and clay and love watching his mother spoil him... he has a toystore in the living room that would knock your sox off. Jaime loves to play with her son - as if she is re-living her childhood at his age and I enjoy watching them both have so much fun. My Alex always wants me to be in the same room with them and play too - and I love the way he looks at me when he smiles - with those beautiful eyes - they look deep into my soul and warm my heart.
My Jaime love is paying for my Cable TV, internet and telephone.. gets groceries for me and calls me each day to make sure I am OK. Once in a while Alex even wants to talk to his OMA - and that is when I still sometimes need a translator, but it is what makes each day worth waiting for that phone call. Or worth waiting for the weekend - no matter how I feel - I want to see them as much as I can.
But, the time is getting near when I wll not be able to walk, sit without severe pain, and when I take the new medication Dr. Scherrer wants to try next week - there is no guarantee that my mind will be clear... and you know how much I want my mind to be awake and aware. Once that part of my life is gone, I will shortly follow. The bone scyntigram and MRT I had done show that my monster has spread to the right lung, and also into my bones -- shoulders, hips, spine - even my heels -- so I cannot move withou severe pain or without a lot of medication. Plus, my heart has enlarged for some reason. I am very, very pissed at my body for doing this to me, but I never had much luck anyway since I had fibromyalgia and arthritis all my life too - nobody believed me or took me serious - until it was too late. I do demand to determine how and when I leave this rotten earth - and I still maintain that belief that I have the right not to be in any hospital or strange place in my last few months here. I just hope that I can hold out until Dan comes back in November so that Jaime does not have to go through it all alone.
It probably goes without saying that you too will be there for Jaime whenever you can and will continue to call her and write her - but I thought I would just ask you to promise to continue to be there for her anyway.
If you two are looking for help in getting re-located or new jobs, just write to the appropriate section or the Lounge in askmehelpdesk.com with the caption of ''chery's brother1 or 2'' and state your wish there - and you will have hundrends of people there who will do their best to help you with the paperwork, legalities, and jobhunting. You can even send a private message to ''curlyben'' or ''J_9'' to get started - they will help steer you in the right direction. Everyone there cares and respects me for the help I have provided within the last 6 years and will be glad to help. ''alty'' is also a good person to contact. They can help you find jobs in metal work, security jobs, aircraft mechanics or anything else you would like to do, and also give you advice on the paperwork you need to achieve this goal. I wish there were more that I could do for you - and maybe I can if you both send me your resumes - then I can start the ball rolling for you. If any of you want to try Chicago, Lloyd Smith can get you started there - I have his personal Email address - so just let me know, OK...
I have a nurse come in twice a week, and a companion twice a week, and am in the process of applying for a bed that suits me better, since I will be spending more time in it. My new doctors are also supportive and very nice to me - and believe it or not, I still have my sense of humor - I love maxine.com.. she is just like me. Larry will not leave my side now, even when people come in - he no longer books up and hides but insists on staying right by me. At night he lays on my chest and tries to scratch my monster out - poor baby, I will have to put him to sleep when I am ready to go to sleep forever as he will not tolerate being with anyone else and is 18 years old. And poor Jaime, she has a lot of work cut out for her getting my place cleaned and the precious things I still have, sent to the right people. Wish yard sales were legal here. The things that should belong in the family will be distributed to you when she can - she already knows all about that.
Well, this is probably the last long letter you'll get from your Sis - so let me know through a short message that you got it. I will however, still continue to bug you with inconsequential shorties that I hope you appreciate now and then. Just remember one important thing... WE ARE FAMILY.. and that counts for a hell of a lot to me.
Love and Hugs,
Sis
P.S. I hope to get the portrait from Alex and myself from the below gallery soon - check it out some time. I also wish that we could have the time together so that I could share the wonderful stories of how great your Dad was - can't wait to be with him and Aunt Inge again - they were both my guardian angels all this time - and I plan on being there for Alex, Jaime, and the future sister or brother... as this is Jaime's greatest wish.

Thanks for sharing my dear Michael. Above link is ''Rebbies'' website. She did a portrait of myself and my grandson so that I could leave a legacy as I will not be here on his 4th birthday. This is his gift from me for his 3rd Birthday, which is next week. My cancer has spread to the other lung and into all my bones, hips, spine, shoulders, etc. So, I will not be on AMHD much anymore and wish all of you the best in life. I have made some wonderful and caring friends there and love them all. You all are always in my thoughts and heart.
Just wanted to share the beautiful talent of a dear friend and also the angel in my arms. Hope you like it.
I hope that I last long enough to be with my family until Jaime's hubby comes back from Afghanistan in November.
Love and Hugs,
Your Chery

Hi Chery Love! Always want you to know we are thinking of you, missing you, loving you and praying for you.
Just a little postscript to Curlyben's post from Chery and a little add on to what Chery shared.
Custom's did allow Chery to have the package without paying any customs tax or fees. She was able to get it in time for Alex's party and he was so happy to have it. She shared with me that Alex wants it to hang in his bedroom so the first thing he sees in the morning is his "OMA"... I offered to send money to pay customs if necessary rather than return the package but God worked it all out so all had a happy ending! :)
Curlyben, I think it was thoughtful of you to post Chery's note so everyone could be updated on her condition. As we all know, Chery is a strong lady and a wonderful friend to so many.
Chery, if you peek in on the site, know how very much you are admired, respected and loved! Breakthroughs happen all the time. That is my fervent hope for you with your health issues. Much love Sweet Chery Love!

Judy and Stringer, they must be thinking about us because they have both been on my mind a lot lately as well. Both of their names have came up in conversations with local friends here. I know some people find it hard to realize how close people can become when we have never met in person. If I had not experienced it, I think I might wonder about it myself. I miss them everyday.

A year before Starby passed I saw two little ducks only about an inch and a half high very cute and when you squeeze them they light up yellow. I bought them as they reminded me of her. And oh yeah, they are featherless... I still have them on my desk shelf.

I can't believe how long ago I started this thread. Has it really been years?
I recently bought a candle, it's apple scented. I'm not really a candle person, but I saw it, smelled it, and just had to get it. I have it on the shelf by the front window and whenever I light it I think of Chery and Starby.
I don't know if I ever told you all this. Starby's brother was the one that called me the day she died. Well, he passed away suddenly of a heart attack only 3 months after Starby passed away. But the good news in all of this, Starby's sister who had been trying to conceive for a long time, now has 2 beautiful little girls. One was born just a few short months ago.
I'm sure they are watching us, and I hope that they're proud of us.

I've gotten to know Starby's sister very well. She's a wonderful person. Great sense of humor. A lot like our duck. :)

I still have the roasting pot. ;)
I sure do miss our Ducky and our sweet Momma C. They left a mark.

I know, I do too. I guess we all have a date.
