Was it the most recent image of the music posted? I don't think I did.

Do you know how to save the images so that you can print out just the images?
  • Mar 30, 2009, 12:27 AM
    Shiang

If there is another way besides right click and save, then I do not know haha.
  • Mar 30, 2009, 12:33 AM
    Clough

Right clicking on the images and saving them to where you want them to be on your computer is the way to go! :)

Are you able to make any sounds on your computer tonight without waking anyone?

    Thanks!
  • Mar 30, 2009, 12:35 AM
    Shiang

All right! All saved and ready to print.

No I'm not able to, since someone is deciding to sleep next to it right now haha. :(

What I would like for you to do, is for you to save the other images of things that I've posted that will help you to learn so that you can also print them out. Would that be okay?

    Thanks!
  • Mar 30, 2009, 12:55 AM
    Shiang

Yes that would be all right. :)

You don't have to print out those big notes and signs, but things like the diagrams of the treble and bass staffs with the notes on them would be very helpful!

Do you have school, today (Monday)?
  • Mar 30, 2009, 01:06 AM
    Shiang

Ah okay, so diagrams and the music I will print.

Yup I have school until 6pm my time. D:

If you have school until 6:00 P.M. what time do you start school during the day, please?

    Thanks!

    Shiang

I start at 8am, but I stay until 6pm because of afterschool class.

Okay, then it's getting very late for you, and for that matter, me. I don't want to be a problem for you being up for too long and then you having a problem with getting up. So, it would be best if we stop things here for tonight.

Let's try to start here earlier in the evening. I know that you came on earlier yesterday during the evening, but I was in the process of moving out where I was house and dog-sitting.

    Okay?

Alrighty, I'll come after I'm done with my homework tomorrow.

    Have a good night :)

I'll probably be on here shortly after 10:30 P.M. my time, which would be 8:30 P.M. your time

    Goodnight to you, too! :)

Ugh sorry for not coming on at 8:30. I went to sleep as soon as I got home and just woke up.

That's okay! I've been having numerous connection problems tonight!

Did you print out those things that I asked you to? Also, have you studied some material that was on the sites for which I had posted the links?

    Thanks!
  • Mar 30, 2009, 10:31 PM
    Shiang

Oh I'll do that right now and no I haven't done that yet either.
  • Mar 30, 2009, 10:37 PM
    Clough

You also might want to print out things from those sites so that you can study the information without being on your computer.

I know that you will be able to play the simpler version of your song the way that it's written so far.

Are you able to make any sounds at this time without disturbing anyone?
  • Mar 30, 2009, 11:01 PM
    Shiang

Okay I will print it all the site in the morning. I really want to get back to sleep.

    Yes I can today.

    Clough

Okay, so it's a time right now that you can make some sounds without disturbing someone. But, you want to go back to sleep.

    Is that correct?

    Thanks!

    Shiang

I'll go play the keyboard, but I'm just tired is all.

    Clough

We don't have to do anything tonight. I don't want you being on here to be the reason for you not getting enough sleep.

There will be many other nights that we can work on this. The next couple of steps that I'm going to do with you are going to take some time, like maybe a couple of hours. It would be best not to interrupt the next couple of steps.

So, my suggestion would be for you to go back to sleep for tonight.

    Okay?

Okay, then hopefully next time I'll get on earlier.

Oops! I'm sorry that I didn't see your post here until now!

How are you? Have you studied some of the things that I suggested for you to study?

    Thanks!

    Shiang

    Haha that's all right.

I'm very good. How are you? I have a little bit, but when trying to print some parts of the site, my printer decided to be mean and not print. D:

I'm glad that you're all right and I know how it goes with printers!

I'm pretty good, although I'm having some issues with one of my hips being out of place and some back pain that's related to that. I did a really big, hard paint job on the ceiling of a customer last week that took a long time where I had to bend my neck and look up at the ceiling the whole time that I was taping it off and painting.

Would you like to try to name some of the notes that I'll post that are on a treble clef?

    Thanks!
  • Apr 1, 2009, 12:09 AM
    Shiang

Yeah printers always know when I need something haha.

Oh wow. Are you going to see a doctor for that? That paint job sounds pretty tiring and painful. D: But dang paint and music? You're talented haha.

Sure. I'd love to try. :D

Yes, I'm going to be going to a chiropractor. It's very difficult for me to walk right now. I directed my barbershop chorus tonight for rehearsal. Usually, I stand for most of the time there. But tonight, I had to sit for the entire time.

Thanks for the compliment. I just like to do a lot of different things. I've been around awhile...

    Post with notes is coming...

Below, is a chart of the notes on the treble clef staff. You can use it to find the notes on the staff that is below it.

    Attachment 18188

Please name all of the notes on the staff that is below, going from left to right without skipping any of them. If you're incorrect on some of them, that's okay.

Here is a hint. The first four notes are E, D, B and A.

Ah okay. Walking sticks! For assistance. :)
Aww that's no fun or maybe not? What is barbershop chorus? Reminds me of this Kpop guy, he injured his leg so he could only sing standing. While the rest of his group did that and danced.

Ohhh that's cool. I should try out more things too. :) Are you calling yourself old haha?

    Okie dokie, so if the first four are E, D, B, and A, the rest are G, G, E, D, A, C, A, B, something lol, A, G, E?

Ack just kidding. I forgot two of them. :(

Actually, you left out three. Your answers on the other ones are perfect, though! Excellent and great job, Shiang! :)

What do you suppose is the name of the highest note? The names of the notes to either side of it, going from left to right, are B and A.
  • Apr 1, 2009, 12:52 AM
    Shiang

Oh dang. Missing three is pretty bad though. That's like uh 75% right there.

Hrmm... I do not know what that highest one is.

    Shiang

I'm sorry. I'm getting nagged to get to sleep.
    Good night. :)
  • Apr 1, 2009, 01:00 AM
    Clough

Since the note directly to the right of it is "A", then the highest note is a "B" since it's higher than the "A". It's called a "ledger line note" because it's like it's on a "ledge" outside of the lines and spaces on the staff. A ledge can be high or low. So, ledger line notes can be above or below a staff.

Please name the seven letters of the alphabet that we use in writing music, starting with "A", and going from left to right in the order of the alphabet.

    Thanks!
