I was a teacher and am going to make you do all the work. :)
Read my summaries and tell me what the two boys in the first poem could be saying to each other about the dissed little black kid and nasty little white kid who are in the second poem.

LOL I did something like this... well Kind of but do you mind if I post what I wrote? I know I am going to be embarrassed lol but I want your opinion :) and someone had also said it was OK when I showed them what I did BTU I think they were joking around making fun of me...
Sort of. That's too fast and obvious. You need two paragraphs, a long conversation, so drag it out more and be sure to tell what the two friends thought about it.
WHITE BOY: Yo, bro!
BLACK BOY: Wassup, dawg?
WHITE BOY: Want to play catch in my back yard?
BLACK BOY: Sounds cool. After that we can chill at my house. Mama just made some cookies.
Go for it. Post whatever you have.
yeah OK. I'll start of with a random conversation and then late in the middle start with the incident that happened... like the black boy starts talking about the other black kid who was called nigger etc.. then how he spent his time in baltimore blah blah blah... do you get what I am tryign to say??
Yup, I got it. Sounds good.
The kid who went to Baltimore can be the other black kid's cousin or neighbor.
I'll eat supper and get some more strength. See you. I'll be here.
Hey there again. I am going to post like I said before but I am afraid if I post it here and if my teacher goes on the internet and she sees the same thing written when I give the assignment to her, she's going to suspect I plagiarized? What do you think I should do? I am too skeptical so I have to do this somehow. Do you think if my teacher asks me if I copied it off or something, should I just give me email and password to her to prove I wrote this assignment myself? Please reply, thanks.
Tableau and Incident Conversation:
Black boy: Want to go play outside?
White boy: Yeah, sure.
Black boy: I got this new basketball my momma got me on my birthday when we were in Baltimore.
White boy: It looks like it’s slow to dribble. Is it a cheap one?
Black boy: No, definitely not a cheap one. It costs 45 bucks!
White boy: Well then let’s start shooting hoops.
Black boy: I am pretty fast….I can shoot 20 hoops in ten seconds. How ‘bout you?
White boy: Eh, barely 10.
Black boy:Ahh, you got to keep practicin’. That’s how I got a good speed.
White boy: Let’s take a break. I feel hungry. Got anything to eat?
Black boy: Momma made extra chocolate chip cookies just yesterday.
White boy: Yum! I want some.
Black boy: C’mon then. Let’s go back to my house.
White boy: Mmmm….your mom makes one of the best choco cookies ever!
Black boy: Yeah, I could eat 10 whole batches if I could, haha.
White boy: So you were saying you visited Baltimore right, how was it? Whatchu get?
Black boy: I visited a lot places and the only thing I got was the $45 basketball that I told you.
White boy: That’s it? C’mon you probably got something else. Didn’t you?
Black boy: I didn’t get anything and don’t remember much about the places I visited, since there was an incident that occurred.
White boy: What incident? Ya did something wrong?
Black boy: Nah, I ain’t a bad guy….I was the one who was insulted.
White boy: I don’t get it…what really happen?
Black boy: The whole time I was in Baltimore….there was things that I enjoyed but the only thing that I remember is a white boy calling me “nigger”.
White boy: Woah…a white guy called you a nigger? I am white and I’d do nothing of some sort.
Black boy: Well, I smiled at him and he poked out his tongue and killed me “nigger”. He was just about my age.
White boy: That’s harsh. I feel bad for you, honest!
Black boy: I was traumatized by that word but I can’t forget all this time I was in Baltimore.
White boy: He sounds like a big racist. I’d never say that and I respect everyone.
Black boy: I guess he didn’t know any better. Let’s go back to the court and shoot some more hoops until momma calls me back in!
Like I said earlier, I asked someone and they said it looks good I won't get a C or something but they were kind of joking about it so it's definitely written poorly. Please tell me if I should add some more or remove something. Please be honest and correct my paper if you can. I can't get anything below a C. Thanks
I reread the assignment. "Write a conversation in which the two boys who appear in "Tableau" discuss what happens in "Incident" with the eight-year-old boy who was the victim of the incident." It sounds like you need THREE characters in your conversation. You need to add the kid who got dissed. (Neither of the two boys in "Tableau" were dissed.) So it will be a three-way conversation.
It's nicely written, but spends too much time NOT talking about the racial slur, so have the disrespected boy talk about that and his feelings, and also the other two boys talk more about that and how they felt about it in light of their friendship and how well blacks and whites can get along. (They know that because they are good friends.)
