    They were given to me in a contact lense case. Other than contact lense solution, nothing else was given to me when I've purchased contact lenses.

    In over thirty years of wearing hard contact lenses, I've never been given my prescription. It has been offerered to me though, if I might want to purchase my lenses elsewhere.

    Your lenses should not have been opened from the packaging by anyone BUT YOU. That's odd. I would request your prescription if I were you. I know that you really like this doctor, but from what I am hearing I don't care for his practices.

    He's an excellent optometrist! Where I live, these are the normal practices for eye care professionals. I've always be the one to open the container after I've purchased a lense or lenses. No one else opened the container except to place the contact or contacts in it.
