Thank you, I have a craftsman garden tractor 25hp 54mower electric start automatic transmission model 917276102. The engine shuts off when I let out the clutch pedal. I tried whiggling the trans mission stick around and try to put it in gear quick but no it still shuts off. Also the mower shuts off when I engage the mowing deck even with clutch pedal still pushed in. I have changed the drive belt and the mowing deck belt. I also put in a new clutch switch. I still have the very same problems. Where might I start looking? Thank you very much, it has been a big problem for me. Bob hopkins

It sounds like your seat safety switch is no working properly. Make sure it is plugged in. If it is the check to see if it working when someone sits on it
