I am here in the US and I do not find the series available on DVD or tape.

My web searches have not lead too much luck, anyone know where some of the older versions may be avaialbe.

My wife has never seen it and has no idea what I am talking about.

I tried to order some DVD but they said they were not shipable to the US

On Europe. I have a friend in England I will see if he will buy a couple for me.

Guess he will want me to pay him back, but hey never know.

Season one,with Christopher Eccleston,will be available all over the United States and Canada,at all good stores,from February 14th,2006.

Don't know where,or if,you can purchase any back catalog of previous incarnations of the Doctor in the US,but the new stuff,you will certainly be able to get,after it's been available in the UK for a few months on dvd.

Can you not order them from Canada, Fr Chuck? Or is it one of those stupid laws where they are not allowed to be distributed in the US? I know that happens with books sometimes. Anyway let me know if I can help in some way.

How I forgot to put this link in,I shall never know.John Barrowman (capt.Jack) is to star in the Dr.Who spin-off series,Torchwood,due on UK screens,late autumn 2006.Described as a sort of X Files meets This Life,the 13 part series involves investigations into alien and human crime.Family viewing it is not,apparently.Should be fun then... :D

Certainly looks interesting, should be worth watching anyway.

So what did everyone think of the Xmas special.
Personally I think it shows promise, we'll just have to wait and see ;)

If you're talking about the remastered BBC DVDs, I have seen them in a lot of stores over here.

Ben,watched The Christmas Invasion.For the first 30 minutes,thought "hmnn",but then it got better.Thought the sward fight,was terrible.Tennant's accent was bizarre.Things can only improve.I must admit,I loved his Lion King speech,and the reference to Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy (Arthur Dent).Watched it again the other night,on bbc 3,and seemed to enjoy it better.First time must have been the xmas pud! :D

Marc Warren and Shirley Henderson have joined the cast of episode 10 of season two of Doctor Who, working alongside the previously-announced Peter Kay.Mark Warren is currently in season three of Hustle (BBC1) Friday 9pm.He was previously in Band of Brothers,and State of Play.

Also appearing will be Shirley Henderson,who was in Hamish Macbeth and the recent adaptation of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew.

Other guest stars in season two of Doctor Who will include Pauline Collins, Maureen Lipman, Anthony Head, Sophia Myles, Roger Lloyd-Pack, Andrew Hayden-Smith, Will Thorp and Tracy-Ann Oberman.

The Doctor was on here in the US last week and it was great, I had been a fan from years ago on the earlier shows. I do not know why it is so appealing, but I fell in love with it all over again.

It's almost time for the new series to start.

In short, if he's not worried or concerned about where he places his machine or where he winds up or who he encounters, then whay should we the viewers be?
