Her parents are treating her the way parents do.I agree slapping was uncalled for but they are trying to protect the child they love.

If your theory of saying no just makes someone want it more is valid then are you suggesting that parents should just say yes to everything so the kid doesn't rebel?

Agreed! There are fewer and fewer boundaries that are being set by parents these days. The media plays a big part in this. Everywhere you look, everything you see, is geared at teens and sex. All you have to do is look at a magazine, turn on the TV, play a video game..! The role models for teens are who? Britney, Paris, Lindsey? The parents need to step in and do something, in order to protect their kids from making wrong decisions, as were made in this case.

I'm facing the same type of problem...
