You only think that you love him. I think you fear him, fear being without him, and are so desperate to have his approval and attention that you are putting up with his disgusting behavior. If he really loved you, he would treat you so much better and not pressure you, hit you, or disrespect you.

If your best friend or a sister came to you with the same story, what would you tell them? Would you want them to be treated the same way by some guy they were dating?

Don't wait, don't think about it, just end the relationship. Tell him you no longer want to be treated as he has been treating you and will have no further contact with him. If you need to, write it in a letter, hand it to him, and walk away. DO NOT initiate any contact with him nor respond to any attempts he might make to contact you. He may apologize, say he loves you and is sorry, or else he will become angry and be cruel... ignore all of it as it is only a means to try and get you to feel guilty and come back.

Go to your friends and family, apologize for letting this guy come between you, and seek their support in helping you stay away from him.
