I think some important points have been made in the last few posts, but the lust thing is making me cringe.
I'm thinking infatuation over lust.
Below that (or before it) is having a serious crush.
I'd think most infatuation is really just a crush.
Crushing and loving are different.
I do believe one can feel love for someone else at 13. However, and this is a big, big "however," it's going to be different from the kind of love that they'll be feeling as they grow up. There's nothing you can do about that. The way you feel love changes.
Love and maturity go hand in hand. Then again, so do love and innocence. Part of me wants to say it doesn't happen, but who am I to say it can't? I "fell in love" with my high school boyfriend at 14, and we were together for 4 years. I still love him. I think we love each other. We just know that loving someone and being together are two different things.
With all of that said, hormones also play their part. Lust, which is the physical side, can play its part. That is true. Love can involve lust, but lust doesn't mean it's love.
Love also comes with responsibilities. So do love related actions. Lots of responsibilities.
Tomboy, if you're still here, are you dating this person, or are you carrying secret feelings for him?
