This is a very sexual society. People are led to believe it's just a function and it's OK to do it with anybody and there's something wrong with you if you don't. There are a lot of girls having sex and not even enjoying it, don't know they are supossed to. They are doing it trying to be cool and get attention.
You only have one virginity and I can't imagine giving it up to just anybody, let alone some horny teenaged boy, who chances are does not even respect or appreciate what he has been given or some nasty butt man who is only seeing a piece of fresh tail.

Never be ashamed of yourself for something like this. Don't let the rest of the world set your standards for you. Having sex just to be considered 'cool' is never a good thing. Sex should be something special that you share with someone you love, not something you should do because it is what everyone else is doing. Virginity FTW! Hope this helped.

I was a virgin until I was 23. I am not religious, not a "prude," wasn't unpopular or weird or any of the things that some people might assume. Its just the way it worked out. (I had opportunities but knew they would be one night stand deals or that it just wasn't important to the guy at all.) When I finally did have sex I was, of course, ecstatic. I am glad that I didn't let myself get pressured into having sex just for the sake of having it. Also, I don't feel weird that I was older, because the majority of my friends that started having sex in high school didn't really understand or enjoy it until they were in their 20's anyway.
