I'm sure he is ashamed of the things he's done in his life, but if he takes what he still sells, and does not get help on his own, he will never change.

Faking identity is a means of not just running from the law, it's also an attempt to run from one's self.

You cannot and should not help him, but concentrate on helping yourself.

You got some great advice from Dennis, and I agree with him. Let it go. Whatever you do is your own decision, you don't need someone on the net to tell you its right or wrong. You will have to decide that for yourself.

This last statement makes me sad.. don't be so impatient. We can't reach through the monitor and be there for you personally, but we do seriously care and want to help you in the ways that we can.

There are a lot of other professionals out there, to include police, firemen, clergy and nurses. Anyone will do for starters as long as they are physically there to help guide you in the right direction - with addresses and telephone numbers in your area.

Please don't give up on yourself so fast, others have done enough of that already.

Okay, now, I haven't read the entire thread, most of it but not all, so forgive me if I am repeating anything.

Sweetie, revenge never helped anyone. What do you want to accomplish by turning your dad in? It won't help him... Addicts are not helped until they are ready to help themselves.

Now, you have been dealt a pretty cruddy hand of cards in your life. You seem to continue playing the victim. Turn that around. Don't grow up to be like THEM, be a SURVIVOR!

Take pride in rising up from the ashes, take pride in being better than they ever were.

Now, correct me if I am wrong, but you are in Illinois right? If so, you do have school counselors, they just may not be at your school every day. Some of these counselors have to travel from school to school. So talk to your principal or vice principal, a trusted teacher. They are the ones that have to set you up with a counselor.

In that case, my advice doesn't change. You still have counselors, chances are they just have to travel from school to school. Talk to a teacher.

Even in Jr. High we still had counselors. Have you tried asking someone? Like J_9 said, they may not be there 24/7. When I was in school, they traveled to all of the schools in the whole district.

Yes, they do have them. Maybe not IN your school, but your school district does have them, they travel from school to school.

They have them for high school, middle school, even elementary school.

If you are in school, they have couselors there to help you, every public school has them, all you have to do is ask.

The school counselor can help you work on that though. Talk to a teacher

It was two years ago and you say you don't even know where he is right now. That said, I'd just let it go. The authorities are probably on to him already anyhow and are probably all poised to arrest him if and when they locate him. You probably wouldn't be able to tell the cops something they don't already know anyhow and any testimony you'd give in court would likely be ripped apart by the defense, due to the time span since the events in question occurred and your tender age at the time. According to your other thread you're 12 now, which means you were only 10 when all this stuff that you're now referring to happened.

And okay I get it about my dad.. he's a jerk anyway.

Sweetie, if you are in a private school your school has access to better counselors. They do have them, you've just never had to use them.

I'm not exactly understanding this. You are acting like you need help, and when someone gives you a suggestion, you brush it off.

Most all schools, private or public (trust me, I've been to both) have counselors. It would probably help you in the long run to talk to someone, but its your choice. If you don't want the help no one can force you to get it.
