    India taxes withheld at source
I am a US corporation who had a customer in India who withheld tax on the amount they owed me. They gave me a certificate showing they remitted the taxes. How can I go about getting the tax back if there is a treaty between US and India?

You need to contact an Indian tax professional for procedures for retrieving the withheld taxes.

You had income from foreign sources and on the income you paid taxes in the foreign country. You will report foreign income on your tax return (in the U.S.), and will also attach Form 1116 to claim credit for taxes paid in the foreign country.
