Popular Dance song, no lyrics can you help me?
OK the beat now bear with me goes something like this nanana... nananana... nannana... nanana... nana-nananananana. Ok I know that doesn't help too much. It has no lyrics and sometimes at dances is like the strobe light song, any suggestions would be very helpful. I have been searchign for months.

I know what song you are talking about... I am pretty sure.
The reason I found this website and this post was because I was googling to try to find the song. The "nanana...nananana...nannana...nanana...nana-nananananana" is not someone going "nanana" it's a machine or keyboard, am I right?
To tomcat, I think you are referring to The Zombie Nation song, which is the only similar song I found in my quest.
I think Paul Oakenfold may have to do something with this song, but I am probably wrong.

Hopefully we will find out soon.

I'm on the same boat as CEP0817. :D
I've been googling in it for some time 'till my nose bump in here and as far as I can tell about "our" song, it's a mix of dance and disco thing and it as LYRICS, I remember hearing in english ("..Knowing...") and spanish("...qero te..."). It's not Rompe (not Rampe) of Daddy Yankee, that's an annoying bad recorded music of reagge/hip hop, it really sucks. BEAR WITH US, "our" song is so popular these days >.< we hear it on T.V, Football Stadiums, parties, discos... Someone must know what we talkin'! :p
"Hey (I think) nanananananananana nie (sounds like that)"

If someone could post the time, timing of the nananas, or anything about the rhythm, that would be a BIG help because the nananas are not enough for the people who don't already know what song you are talking about.

I have the answer. I too have been trying to track the name of this song down for ages and have finally found it. It is called:

    Carnival de paris

    By:
    Dario g

This song, if it's the one your looking for is the official theme tune for the world cup 1998 which was held in france, hence the name of the song.

Hope this has helped you out.

    Danny. :)

Umm I am crying laughing that your looking for a song by explaining it as nanan nanna nanana... OMG whew... ok maybe I just lack sleep, but thanks for the laughs... and sorry if not as funny to anyone else...

BTW when I first read the question I was thinking of Roxanne by the Police... cause they really do 'sing nanana nananananaa nananan an nanaa (give or take a few nana's) She's got the look!'

However that song is OLD and Nowhere near techno... Oh and it has words, none spanish..

I think you are referring to "Be my world" by milky

    The lyrics goes like this:

    Ooo, I’m starving
    Without your loving
With your kisses you could fill me now
    Ooo, come closer
Don’t wait a minute, you are the outcome
    c’mon and be my world

Na na na, na na na na na na
Na na na, na na na
Na na na na na na

    Hope it helps

    Glossary entry for
    Land of a thousand dances
This may be a reference to a Wilson Pickett song called "Land of a Thousand Dances", although the lyrics to that song set a completely different mood to the song Van makes the reference in:

    Land of a Thousand Dances
(Writers: Chris Kenner & Antoine 'Fats' Domino)

    One, two, three
    One, two, three

    OW!
    Do it!
    All right!
    Uh!

Got to know how to Pony
    Like 'Bony Maronie'

    'Mashed Potato'
    Do 'The Alligator'

Put your hand on your hips, yeah
    Let your backbone slip

    Do the 'Watusi'
    Like my little Lucy

    OW! Uh!
    Na, na-na-na-na
    Na-na-na
    Na-na-na
    Na-na-na
    Na-na-na-na

I need somebody help me say it one time!

    (Chorus)
    Na, na-na-na-na
    Na-na-na
    Na-na-na
    Na-na-na
    Na-na-na-na

    WOW-OOOOW!

    (Instrumental & sax solo)

    OOW! UH!
You know I feel all right?
    Huh!
    Feel pretty good y'all
    Uh-huh!

    Na, na-na-na-na
    Na-na-na
    Na-na-na
    Na-na-na
    Na-na-na-na

C'mon ya'all, let's say it one more time!

    (Chorus)
    Na, na-na-na-na
    Na-na-na
    Na-na-na
    Na-na-na
    Na-na-na-na

    OOOOH!

    Dancin' in the alley
    With 'Long Tall Sally'6

    'Twistin'7 with Lucy
    Doin' the Watusi

    Roll over on your back
    I like it like that

    Do that Jerk8, oh
    Watch me work, ya'all

    Ow! Do it!

    Wow!
    Do it!

    Watch me do it

    Ooh, help me!
    Ooh, help me!

    Whoa, help me!
    Ooh, help me.

I think I heard it from a radio station. The one I heard of goes like this pattern:

    Na na na na na

(some language, kind of like english)

    Nan na na na na

(some language, kind of like english)

    (Techno Music)

    Na na na na na

(some language, kind of like english)

    Na na na na na

(some language, kind of like english)

    (Techno Music)

    [repeats again]

And it is a girl who sang this...

    I want this music too!

Forget the stuffs I said above, I found the song. Mercury, it might not be the song you wanted, but it should be close.

It is a techno-type music, with lalalalala (instead of nanannana) repeating.

Around The World - A Touch of Class (ATC)

ATC_Around the World - ATC Music - MP3 Stream on IMEEM

    Enjoy, it's a good techno.

I believe the song you're thinking of is "Land Of A Thousand Dances". Wilson Picket made it popular in the 1960's but it's been covered by many other bands.

Hope this is what you were looking for... :-)
