What is the statute of limitation of filing a claim within Ontario for a liquidated claim or more specifically for services rendered?

    Justice Matters
Assuming you mean the province of Ontario in Canada and not the county of Ontario in California then the limitation period for commencing an action for a loss that arose after January 1, 2004 is two years.

If your cause of action arose before January 1, 2004 then the limitation period is six years.

You can confirm the current limitation period by checking the statute directly at:

    Limitations Act, 2002, S.O. 2002, c. 24, Sched. B
