Oh by the way, isn't placenta like the "bag" the babies live in while they are in their mom's tummy and also referred to as the after-birth? Or is there something else called placenta?(sorry for the ignorance... lol)... if so,how could it lighten skin??

Oh btw, isn't placenta like the "bag" the babies live in while they are in their mom's tummy
babies live in the "gestational sac" with is a sac that has the baby and amniotic fluid, hence when your water breaks the sac has ruptured
and also referred to as the after-birth??
yes it is know as the afterbirth, in a normal delivery it comes out after the baby
Or is there something else called placenta??(sorry for the ignorance....lol)...if so,how could it lighten skin???
The placenta is the bridge that connects the mom and fetus, the placenta help takes control of the production of the pregnancy hormone @ 16 weeks gestation in the mom and gives the baby the nutrients it needs to survive in utero.

Here's the wikipedia description of placenta

Placenta is an organ present in eutherian mammals that connects the developing fetal tissues to the uterine wall. The placenta supplies the fetus with maternal nutrients, and allows fetal waste to be disposed of via the maternal kidneys. The word placenta comes from the Latin for cake, from Greek plakóenta/plakoúnta, accusative of plakóeis/plakoús - πλακόεις, πλακούς, "flat, slab-like"[1][2], referring to its round, flat appearance in humans. Protherial (egg-laying) and metatherial (marsupial) mammals produce a choriovitelline placenta that, while connected to the uterine wall, provides nutrients mainly derived from the egg sac. The placenta develops from the same sperm and egg cells that form the fetus, and functions as a fetomaternal organ with two components, the fetal part (Chorion frondosum), and the maternal part (Decidua basalis).

The placenta in the 3 in 1 whitening soap is basically the extracted plant placenta that has a natural whitening affect on the skin, put into a soap.

    Hope this helps

OK - after a thorough research on this Tonique product, I found the following information.

    1. Tonique seem very scary and scammy to me. Take a look at the before and after page of the site All Natural Skin Whitening Pic's

2.All the pages on the entire site can be traced to back several different websites.

    3. Tonique website whois is registered to a
    Simone Drummond
    4815 Bayonne Ave
    Apt CN
    Baltimore MD 21206.

    4. No company information, no product sizes etc.
    5. The toll free number is forwarded to a sprint pcs cell phone number 443.768.5024

    6. The before and after photos are stolen from the following websites:
    a. Pallid Skin Whitening Formula - Ultimate Complexion lightening tablets

b.Magic Potions | Skin Whitening Experts | Skin Lightening Products
    module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_page&PAGE_id=7

    7. All the product reviews were written on the same date.
    8. Most of post/blogs on the products are posted by a "MARSHA" yet when I contacted the toll free number a "MARSHA" spoke to me. My opinion = STAY AWAY.

Buyer beware there are so many RED flags that SCREAMS SCAMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

    QUOTE=galfijej;1692178]Hi abbycute,

If you don't mind my asking, why did you stop using Fair and Flawless? I've read others say it was way too expensive, or that results were not consistent (as I believe member MAHARANI stated in other threads). Did you feel the same way?

I took a look at the Tonique website, and it appears they sell mostly the same products as Fair and Flawless. I say this because some information from the Tonique website is EXACTLY the same as from the Fair and Flawless (F&F) website. Here are some examples:

    EXAMPLE #1: Customer service information

Link from Tonique: Tonique Skin Care-All Natural Skin Whitening Products
Link from FNF: Fair and Flawless | Customer Service

I notice the language is identical, except it says "Tonique" instead of "Fair and Flawless" where applicable, or vice versa.

EXAMPLE #2: Ingredient lists for Facial Lightening Cream

Ingredients of Tonique 10x Intense Skin Whitening Cream:
Source: Tonique Skin Care-All Natural Skin Whitening Products

Purified Sea Water, Aloe vera gel, hops extract, rosemary leaves extract, sage leaves extract, ginseng extract, sea ware, lemon extract, hazelnut oil, oilgopeptide, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7, squalene, lactic acid, Sepi-white msh, citric acid, vitamins A and E, alpha arbutin, metabisulfate, natural fragrance

Ingredients of F&F Facial Lightening Cream:
    Source: Facial Lightening Cream

Purified Sea Water, Aloe vera gel, hops extract, rosemary leaves extract, sage leaves extract, ginseng extract, sea ware, lemon extract, hazelnut oil, oilgopeptide, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7, squalene, lactic acid, Sepi-white msh, citric acid, vitamins A and E, alpha arbutin, metabisulfate, natural fragrance. /FONT>

EXAMPLE #3: Ingredients for Skin Lightening Lotion

Ingredients of Tonique Green Tea Moisturizing Whitening Lotion (Price: $59.95)
Source: Tonique Skin Care-All Natural Skin Whitening Products

Purified seawater, aloe vera leaf juice, green tea extract, symphytum leaf extract, citric grandis seed extract, sepiwhite MSH, Vitamin A and E, lactic acid, glycolic acid, methylparaben, propylparaben, mulberry extract, shea butter, rosehip extract, citric acid, natural fragrance

Ingredients of Skin Soho™ "LIQUID LASER" Colada White Hand & Body Milk (Price:$79.95)
Source: Skin Lightening Lotion | Hand and Body

Purified seawater, aloe vera leaf juice, anthemis nobilis flower extract, symphytum leaf extract, citric grandis seed extract, undecylenoyl phenylalinne (SEPIWHITE MSH), Vitamin A, E, lactic acid, glycolic acid, methylparaben, propylparaben, mulberry extract, shea butter, rosehip extract, citric acid fragrance

    ------------------------------
Sorry for such a long post, but I just wanted to illustrate my point that I think Tonique and Fair and Flawless are the same company, except F&F has a larger product selection? Although in some, if not all cases, the prices are lower at Tonique than F&F. Also, maybe one "notable difference" is the strength of the whitening gel. It's labelled as "10x" for Tonique vs. "5x" for F&F. And maybe Tonique doesn't fill subsequent orders with "diluted" products?

I'd appreciate thoughts from you, as well as current and former F&F users.

Also, on a side note, some F&F products are also sold in South Africa as "Pure Perfect" (website: Pure Perfect - Lighter with Confidence). This site gives more straightforward information to the consumer about what to expect, including possible symptoms, when using the products.

Thank you, and continued success with your skin lightening efforts![/QUOTE]

I just said that I use the products you don't have to. It seems like you have a lot of time on your hands if you ask me. I used F&F for a while and it was good but Tonique was just as effective if not more effective. Keep in mind I tried Makari too and Civant and I am sure I receved all my products. In my opinion this site is full of nothing but website owners trying to push their own product and discourage use of anything else. I did my research and this company (Tonique) has been around for a while. A lot of things work I am just saying this is what I use.

Abbycute that is so true! Doesn't that bioclaire stuff contain mercury? I almost tried it once but, then decided I wasn't that desperate to have my skin whitened that I would use chemicals. Btw have you tried the gel from Tonique that is what I think I am going to try next. They say it works fast.

I have used hydroquinone before though. I didn't know when I started using it that it was dangerous to your health and stopped using it when I found out and my mistake but I think I did try bioclaire before too. It scares me to think that I used anything that may have endangered my health. What do you guys think of meladerm? Does it really work? I have heard mixed reviews about it. I am looking for something to mix the Tonique with to make it even stronger. :)

I also did research on the Amira Magic Cream and from what I understand it is a scam and only being promoted by sellers! In my opinion if you are here to promote this product containing mercury and hydroquinone you should be banned.

Here is a post from Amira Magic Cream Doesn't Work started by Sosodef

Pao, don't waste your money on the magic cream. The only positive reviews on this site are from the people who are selling it. Try real products like makari or godiva. Herbal inn works well too, but some people think it might be dangerous. I have had good results with the Whiterskin cream too, but Ive heard that doesn't work on all people.

Lets calm down. If someone is a sellar the proof comes out eventually. We r simply expressing our experirences right. The website where I discovered a lot of sellars was DEPIG. Com.)
Not one person accused anyone of being a sellar & the majority of them were. So let try to put the sellar accusations on hold please??

White and light and the tonique lady are obvious sellers. And annoying at that. Why would they come into this thread slamming other vendors. That's not the name of this thread its to post results and give legitimate help and insight.

Your obvious and annoying go away You promote the same way on bright skin forum. Ok you like tonique big deal. No one else does so get over it. No one wants to use it, it looks to scammmmmmyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Why are you taking it so personally? Again, sounds like you're the owner of the site you told us to Google. You don't need glasses to see that.
