If you have a dark complexion this pills won't work, this only works on already light skin persons that want to make their skinmore pinkish, maybe lighter but sometimes it doesn't even work that way. DK active white is a pearl capsule. If your intention of using this is for skin lightening, I would not suggest this product. Maybe use this for other benefits it offer but for skin lightening I don't give it a go. :)

    Hope it helps!

    Hi unis,

Yes, actually I can be consider quite fair already. I'm chinese and perhaps only a slight shade darker than Zhang Zhiyi. I want to be a little bit lighter/pinkish because I guess I have some pigmentation on my skin... It is not always good to be fair,. believe me... scars and pigmentation and hyperpigmentation will always be more prominenet:( compare to those who have olive skin (which I think is lovely:D ).

I have came across the L-Gluthathione thingy... but since the name sound so.. uhm.. chemical? (not sure is this the right word).. I have my reservations a bit here. Will I end up like a pale ghost? Or some bad side effects (yes, I know many claimed there are no side effects, but they are sellers... anyway actually how does this L-Gluthathione came about? It's not plant base / herbal based... so?) Forgive me... maybe I'm just undereducated when it comes to this gluthathione thing...

Actually, to tell you the truth... I am more at ease taking glutathione on my system (which is an anti-oxidant) than DK Active white (that is PEARL powder). Well, that's mine. Its up to you.

I actually really do believe lightening pills does work, based on my personal experience. :) you just have to know which one to get and the right amount of dosage to take.

At least if you don't get to have lighter skin because you did not take the right dosage, you still get the health benefits from it, I have had liver problems and it has been greatly improved by glutathione my SGPT is now normal, unlike for some creams OUT THERE, that cause break outs and all and when you finally give up on it, you are left with ugly pimple marks on your face and a hole in your pockets. Hard earned money down the drain.

    Dunno..that's why i'm asking...
Hey how did you do your links like that??
    1) Copy the url that you want eg: www.abc.com
    2) Write down whatever you want to hyperlink eg: "this is it", ..etc
    3) Then highlight the "this is it"
    4) After that go to the icon on your top, the one with the globe..you will see the title 'Insert link'..press it.
    5) Just paste whatever url u copy on step 1) and paste it...make sure you don't put 'http://' twice as the Insert Link box already comes prepared with it
    Finally..press OK. Then you're done!

    Hope that helps

Oh, by the way Unis, mind sharing which brand you're taking? And do you have to consume them forever? Thanks.:D

Which ingredient stops the melenin from forming?

    January 2004

Why Skin Whitening Pills Cannot Work:

Recent demand hikes for skin whitening have led to the development of so-called skin whitening pills as advertized by various companies. These companies make claims of achieving all-over whiter skin by taking internal medication.
The principle behind these claims is highly attractive. However, to accomplish a lighter skin tone, these pills must target melanin producing cells only and leave all other cells in the body untargeted. Such a task has been the goal of science for centuries. Indeed, if medical science could target only particular cell groups effectively, cancer would be completely treatable.

Targeting particular cells is very difficult and has not ever been possible. Some manufacturers of skin whitening pills, however, claim to provide high quantities of Vitamin C and other skin whitening ingredients to the entire body (including skin cells) and, as such, they can achieve skin whitening. Unfortunately, this approach is not feasible either, because to provide such a high strength of Vitamin C (or any other ingredient) to all melanin-producing cells based on internal medication, one would have to consume poisonous amounts of such ingredients.
We strongly urge the consumer to be aware of these basic principles and judge claims of skin whitening from suppliers of skin whitening pills accordingly.
