    How to lighten dark lips?
Hi, does anyone have any effective formulas or products that can lighten dark lips? I thought lips were suppose to lighten faster than your normal skin because it is thinner? Isn't there some kind of bleach or something you can use to lighten your lips..? I'm using godiva lip gloss, so far there hasn't been much change, maybe only a little bit... but anyway, if anyone has any ideas or products that would be great. ANyway thanks.

I hope so!! My bottom lip is nearly all the way pink now. I noticed that it started to work from in.. outwards. It look funny now because you can literally see a line diving the dark from the pink. I've only been using it for a week but I wear it everyday all day, even to bed at night. When I eat, I reapply it. But I wear only a very thin layer. I'll let you know how it continues to work.

My top lip is still dark side but not as much. We'll see what happens.

I've read that mixing lemon juice with almond oil, then apply to lips at night helps. But never tried myself!

Monobenzone is supposed to take all the dark pigment off the lips

People who have used mono I noticed on their before/after photos their lips went from
Purple-ish to a normal pink color

Godiva is also a nice product

I've been using godiva lipgloss. IT has lightened my lip just ever so slightly (bottom lip). No change on the top lip which is purple.

Anyone heard of bio glow cherry blossoms for the lips? That is also a lip lightener. Anyone used it?

Let me tell you one thing--And this is from my experience....Godiva lipgloss does not work. It dried and cracked my lips! Now I use coco-butter on it.
Honey mixed with beets work well too.

    Dear customer

Lip may be devided in to 2 parts, the inner part called mucous lip and the outer part called cutaneous lip. It is the certaneous lip that contains pigment or melanin and responsible for the so called “dark lip” in most patients. It is true that tatoo chemicals, heat,or ordinary laser may do harm to your lip.In fact lipstick is believed to be one factor that cause dark lip in the acquired type

With the special kind of laser at a proper parameters this problem is safely treated. It is the innovatine technique in cosmetic laser precedures developed trough an advanced research. The treatment for dark lip requires 1-3 treatments (average1.5). The interval between each treatment session is 1 week or more.

The lip is treated with the special laser after numb with topical anesthesia. The procedure take only a few minutes. The treated lip appears dark like wearing a black lipstick and form a fine scab which will turn naturally pink with in 1 week.
The price for dark lip laser is $200 .

Here the reply that I got.

I'm not sure about that in the US. You can email or call the plastic surgeon in the US about this. Just Google their website and look for their email

To get natural pink lips apply beetroot juice before bed.
Massage your lips with lemon juice, to avoid the black colour of lips.
Apply mint juice or coriander leaf juice everyday to get rosy and smooth lips.
Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Grind rose petals and apply on lips to get smooth pink lips.
Exfoliate your lips once a week. Wet a soft toothbrush and gently brush your lips with a circular motion.
Black lips have been caused by drinking too much tea, coffee or by smoking, so you try avoid this.
Apply a mixture of lemon and glycerine to your lips every night, before turning in. Leave it on overnight and wash it off in the morning. This should help lighten your lips.
Grate raw coconut and squeeze milk out of it. Apply this milk on your lips.
Eat plenty of raw cucumber and carrot. It smoothens your lips and glowing your skin.

You should try FRESH UP Skin Pinkish Cream! I HIGHLY recommend it! It was featured in Nu Ren Wo Zui Da show. This cream breaks down melanin, which causes dark spots on your skin such as lips, elbows, nipples and soften stretch marks without destroying the skin cells. It also aids in removing dead skin cells and faster growth of new ones. I bought it online about 2 weeks ago & have been using it for 4 days consistently (day & night) & my lips are getting pinker. The dark outline is getting lighter. It's almost unnoticeable. My upper lip used to be darker than the bottom lip but not anymore! Now they're just about the same! I wonder how "pink" my lips would be after I finish the tube! I'm very pleased with it!! It is very expensive though. But it's worth it! One2Fit.com sells it for $59 excluding shipping. But they are now $55 for a limited time.
One2fit.com - SAYA Fresh Up Skin Pinkish Cream

I bought mine from NoDarkLips.com for $49.95 including shipping! Free shipping! Now that's what I call a bargain! They have 30 days money back guarantee. What a plus! They have the best customer service around. I will post my before & after pics soon!

Forget about those products that promise instant whitening or pink because there is no scientific basis other than they are skin dyes. Irony is skin dyes stains your skin in the long term even if you think you have thorough cleanse it. This Fresh Up cream is tested and approved by the health authorities in Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Germany and is safe to use.

    Good luck!
