Hi, can someone recommend me a good exfoliating soap?
Burts Bees Bay Rum Exfoliating Bar Soap is my favourite!
MRS.S
I don't know the exact name brands, but if you go to any health foods store, they have soaps that have what look like tiny (for lack of a better word,) "splinters," in them. I love those soaps, they really work.
Well funky mommy has a new soap called gluta-blend soap. Its glutathione soap and kojic acid soap blended together with exfoliating beeds! Omg I'm so getting some tomorrow.
Kojic acid
What's funky mommy?
It's the name of a skin lightening brand.
Lol. They sell soap and cream. Here's more info:http://www.funkymommy.net/skinlightening.html
Thanks now I can find that!
I saw a couple of other sites that also sell it. If you goggle funky mommy products you can probably find it cheaper somewhere. I saw a lot of other lightening soaps on skinlighteningexperts.com also.
Sorry it's skinwhiteningexperts.com not lightening
You are a little so w/ the complete info.?
Oh well now you tell me. I ordered it from funky mommy... thanks next time I will look at the skin lightening.. .
Gee... sorry:(
What soap are you guys talking about cause now I've upgraded to a 3 in1 whitening soap it has kojic acid, papaya, and placenta and it burns like hell on certain parts of my body OMG it makes me peel a lot, is this the soap you guys are talking about
I was talking about the funky mommy soaps and the lightening soaps on the skinwhiteningexperts.com website. I haven't tried them, but the kojic acid is probably what is burning your skin. I read somewhere that it can do that. Maybe you should use the gultathione soap. Gultathione doesn't have side effects, but I'm not sure if the soap form would dry out your skin. Do you use lotion after you wash with the soap? That would probably help. I use lemon juice on my skin and it burns, but after I use lotion it's fine. The same concept would probably work for you. Try rubing your skin gently with a washcloth or pumice stone in the shower to get the dead skin off.
Pumice stone OK ill Google it thanks for the advice
You can get a pumice stone from any store. They are used to remove dead skin from feet, but I also use them on my body. It works well. Find one that isn't very sharp.
Kojic acid soap I got from eBay.It is strong. I was putting mono lotion on after I didn't burn right away but later that night I would itch a lot. S I cut back to 3 times a week. Now Im using fair & white soap w/ aloe. Then I use the HQ after. This soap sting just a little.
I could never use a pumice stone on my skin. I can barely use it on my feet! I gently use exfoliating gloves twice a week, that's it.
If u burn or irrated your skin u will be darker. I have sensitive skin. Maybe that why I have spots... lol
Stay away from lemons!! They will burn u. & darken r skin.
Oh good in creams.
U can buy a cream by bigalow from bed & bath that have lemon oil in it for about 15.00
You ever try the 3 in 1 whitening soap, it has kojic acid, papaya and placenta, I'm loving it I find my skin peeling a lot with this soap, bad part is that my skin is more sensative to the sun, yep going to be walking around this summer with an umbrella shading myself from the sun
Ill pm u
Why are u being secrative about it I'm pretty sure other people would like to know where you got it from as well.
Anyway I purchased the gluta blend soap from the amira majic website as well as kojic acid lotion and it should arrive Monday so I'm really excited to use it
weezing I take a lot of heat on this website for telling every one where I get my grocery list of skin lightening products anyhow since you ask I get it from the .net people
I was in the drugstore the other night, and noticed that Dove now makes an exfoliating soap. I personally wouldn't use it, because I already have oily skin, and Dove doesn't feel well for me. I use milder forms of exfoliating soap, and pine tar soap, because I don't shed as easily, and the skin traps hair under it, and it becomes infected and I have acne. Ugh!
No, sorry I just saw it in the aisle. It made me think of this thread. But I didn't look at it..
