How much are you using? I broke out the second week of using it. And that was because I was globbing large amounts on my face. In this case. LESS IS MORE. Trust me. Just put a light coating on and let it soak into your skin. I know some people use a cotton ball. But I prefer to use clean finger tips because it's less friction with the skin that way. Hope this helps. And remember. A LIGHT coating. Or mix it with something. I dilute mines with water.

Yes I use bare hands as well. My first two applications I used cotton pads then found it easier to use my bare hands

I am guessing you live someone warm as you go bare armed every day, then? I am grateful that I live in London, although it has been quite a warm summer. I mean even today the sun is quite strong. Roll on the winter, my favourite time of year!

Annnnnnd. I found this glycerine based product. It's from Paris and kind of expensive. It says it's natural. So I gave it a shot. And I kid you not. I lighten half a shade as each day goes by. And it's making my scars go away and it's hydrating my skin and making it look so youthful (Even though I'm young, 20 to be exact.... But it's still making my skin look really fresh and young).... So I wanted to list the ingredients here to see if any of you guys spot a red flag.... So on the front of the bottle it says {55 H+} CHRISTALINE (I think this is the brand name. But I could be wrong? Half of the bottle is in enlgish. half in french. so I'm so confused. lol) Glycerine fine Strong-Lightening (Recommended in health stores and dermatologist practices)

    On the back it says:

"Fine composition of glycerine, enriched with extra quality vegetable products, preserving all main properties and vitamins. Manufactured using the best lightenigh plants. It's soft and deep action feeds and moisturizes the epidermis, keeping it soft, mild and smooth. It is recommended for all types of skins, preventing them from dryness, aging, and wrinkles."

Directions for use: Apply carefully this lotion on face and neck surface< using a cotton wool> Do not rinse> Let them dry completely before applying other treatments (creams or make-ups).

WARNING: For External use only. In case of contact with eyes rinse them with plenty of cold water.

Ingredients: Glycerine, Propiene Glycol, Arctostaphyious Uva-Ursi (Bearberry extract), PEG-40 Hydrogenated caster oil, Trideceth-9, Parfum (fragrance), Morus bombycis (Mulberry root extract), Daucus Carota, Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Lactate, Sodium Medtabisulfite, Bencyl Alcohol, Methychtoroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.

Will u please share the site name whre the product can be found..

    Maharani what are you using?
  • Sep 24, 2009, 12:03 PM
    MAHARANI

I am alternating between fair and flawless and makari mainly, along with retin A.

Currently nothing on the body, although I was using bio claire but now realise it is not good for the skin.

Did you get stretch marks? I did on my belly
  • Sep 24, 2009, 01:27 PM
    MAHARANI

Thankfully no stretch marks and my skin does not appear to have suffered as a result when I stopped using it. It was just at the time that the skin was very sore and my veins were really visible, especially as the skin was so pale, almost white.

Why people do say its dangerous? as it contains HQ?if so, then why people look forward to use direct HQ?thanks anyway.
  • Sep 25, 2009, 09:56 AM
    MAHARANI

I personally don't think Bio Claire had HQ in it and if it did, it was in very small quantities as I did not see any browning of the cream when I used it. I know it is steroid based though, due to the skin thinning that occurs when used.

Its got more than just hq strong steroids there a couple of threads on here about it why don't you go look for yourself
  • Sep 25, 2009, 10:03 AM
    MAHARANI
In terms of HQ being dangerous, I think that people say that because in hotter climates there have been cases of ochronosis (thickening and darkening of skin especially for people of color) and other problems like, abnormal function of the adrenal glands, and blood diseases . However it is still considered one of the best skin lighteners out there and I guess if used with caution and not long term and with correct sun protection, it can be a useful tool.

That said, HQ is not for me and I would rather use something else, personally.

Don't worry I know from my own experience that Bio Claire is a harmful substance and I would not advocate for anyone to use it. As I said, I am just not sure that HQ is the big issue and I believe steroids are the REAL problem with it.

Yea me too, where did you order your vitamin liquids and hq from?
  • Oct 19, 2009, 03:05 PM
    Golden_Girl
I ordered the Dynamic Health Liquid Vitmamin C w/Natural Rose Hips & Bioflavonoids: 1,000mg 16 oz from Amazon for $4.89 from the retailer/manufacturer Dynamic Health. But it can be purchased many other places too.

Well, I received my Cristaline today from bhb! It does have tape around it, it would have been better if they used the professional plastic wrapping instead of tape. I was trying to see if the whole amount is there or if it's missing any. But, from looking at other photos of the product from different retailers, some of there's seem the same.

This isn't the product I ordered, but I'll use this as an example. My bottle looks low like this: http://www.beautytrend.co.uk/acatalog/PURETE.gif and other bottles looked like this:http://www.scent-heaven.com/images/CLEANSER.jpg

So I guess it depends on who you order from?

Yea I see, mine too had tape but it didn't look tacky or anything it was well packaged

You got yors from TopSkinClear? That's where I was getting mine at first, but they charge an extra $11 for shipping & handling so I cancelled it. But, they do seem to be much more professional. Mine has tape on it and some of the tape looks dingy, as long as it works and then I'll order it from somewhere else next time. I'll start using it after everything arrives hopefully by this week. I already bought the facial pads to use for the face and a spray bottle for the body.

Glad to see yours didn't leak Golden. As long as it works though and as long as you're not missing much product. I found the liquid vitamin C at CVS too! Funny how I never noticed the liquid form before... Good luck with the products and keep us posted!

OK, thanks. Which brand of liquid vitamin c you saw at the CVS? If I can find it in a good liquid form I would prefer that than pills, regardless how bad it may taste. Because I hate taking pills.
