I ordered the 10x Intense Skin Cream and Gel from Tonique yesterday and today I ordered the kojic acid soap from funkymommy.net today. My friend has a wedding coming up (the one that told me about what she uses) and she wants me to be her maid of honor I told her if I don't get these horrible spots off my face I am not going to participate in the wedding. That's how bad it is right now! Anyway I got express shipping and the wedding is in a month hopefully my face will be clear by the time the wedding rolls around. My skin used to be flawless this is so depressing :(

Beautifulskin, congrats on being the maid of honor. I found out yesterday that one of my best friend wants me to plan her wedding and to be in the wedding (idk how to do both at once) for spring 2010, so I hope I will look and maintain how I want to look. If you mainly want to remove marks from your face, you can use retin-a (tretinoin) that will help and speed up results along w/ the lightening crème. But, it is a process as the dead skin will have to peel first, then the skin underneath is lighter and more even, so it may take time.

About the makari, it is a safe product with many natural ingredients and I had great results as it lighten my acne scars, and evened and lightened my skin a lot. But, if you have acne-prone oily skin you have to use a really good cleanser that fights acne, as it is a quite oily crème made with hydrogenated oils and 2 different types of silicone which can clog the pores and cause more acne. So, a good acne fighting cleanser and even a face scrub a couple of times a week helped my face a lot.

    Ok.
At the time I was using the papaya kojic soap Diana Stalder brand 2x a day, some use Likas papaya soap with good results too. This helps prevent acne, remove dead skin cells, and help with bemishes. I would say they help to prepare the skin for lightening as well. Real black soap is really good too on preventing acne, not the hard kind that has black dye in it.. that's mess. But real black soap is much softer and is actually shades of brown and not "black", this is more milder.

I used St. Ive's Apricot scrub 2-3 a week helped with my oily skin and help prevent acne. But, now I have learned that the apricot seeds are too large ans will tear the skin (visually apparent under the microscope). So it is best to use finer particles, now I use Avon microdermabrasion kit.

When I did get a zit (and sometimes they were big), I wouldn't tamper with it, I put toothpaste on it, let it dry, the rinse a few minutes later. I did this about twice a day everyday until it was gone. And before bed I put a little facial mask on the zit, let it dry then rinse in the morning. I know these 2 techniques sound strange but worked for me, as they help dry the acne and the zits begin to shrink.

Golden girl isn't it stressful trying to plan and be in the wedding?? Wow, that's a lot of work :). I think I am going to try the retin-A do you know where I can get some?

    fairr

    Hey,
I used makari and broke me out but I have acne med from the doctor and I used that at night and the caviar cream in the day and no prob at all
My acne med has benzyl peroxide init
Its awesome at combatting acne, you can buy benzyl peroxide products without a perscription. And you can put it on in the day which you can't really with toothpaste lol

    Hope that helps

Yeah it can be stressful, though one of my friends is assisting me which is a plus. I'm not sure how I can be in the wedding also, though it is a small wedding of about 50 people so far. Where to get Retin-A without prescription? Well, for the generic brand tretinoin I can pm you a reliable source.

I guess she thinks this because B.S. (beautifulskin) came in here sounding way too familiar:

    Page 16 Post#159 (beautifulskin)
Nikki is there any one particular product you are a fan of? I was reading your posts and it seems like you liked Fair & Flawless but I had a friend try it and she said it doesn't work and is too expensive is there anything else you recommend?

    Page 3 Post#30 (abbycute)
I've used F&F before and yes they were too expensive. I couldn't keep up with the prices and they weren't as effective as Tonique. I don't know if they're affiliated but, a lot of the all natural skin whitening companies tend to be fairly alike. I found I got much faster results with Tonique though and it's less expensive.

Is abbycute beautifulskin's friend she speaks of:confused:
Familiar theme: too expensive, Fair and Flawless is bad, Tonique is good.
Doesn't make any sense because Tonique has or at least list the same ingredients as Fair and Flawless along with the copy cat site, product name and not much difference in price.

    Page15 Post#144 (beautifulskin)
Hello all nice to be here!!
Sorry to tell you guys but, I am also a fan of Tonique!! LOL

    Page 4 Post#39 (whiteandlight)
Oh and I got my first order of Tonique last month and I like it. I was scared to say it because I was reading through previous posts. LOL

Familiar theme:notice the sheepish shy almost apologetic way she annouces she likes Tonique. Big letter L big letter O and another big letter L at the end of each sentence.

Beautifulskin posted she was a fan of Tonquie on Jun 12, 2009 as if she used the product before yet on:

Why is she asking me for recommendations, does she not use Tonique already:confused:

    Aug 26, 2009
I am trying everything to lighten my melasma too let me know if you use anything that you find works well. My friend recommended something to me that she says she has been using for a couple of months. I forgot the name of it though. I am going to ask her again tonight. She said it works really well I will ask again and then post it here.

After almost two months of stating you are a fan of a product, you can't remember then name of it:confused:

    Aug 28, 2009
My friend says that Tonique is very good. I have bad melasma so I just ordered the cream and the gel so that it can lighten my skin in half the time (or at least that's what I'm hoping).

Posted she was a fan but is just now ordering the product:confused:

    whiteandlight:
It depends on what kind of product you are looking for. If you don't mind synthetic ingredients try the G&G cream. If you want to go natural try the Tonique 10x Gel.

    abbycute:
Do not use anything synthetic on your skin try something natural synthetic can be harmful. I use Tonique's products but there are many other all natural skin whitening lines out there.

Tonique has a live chat helper you can talk to in real time and I asked a couple of questions and this customer service rep used the same word, synthetic. Hmmm

Bottom line is Beautifulskin sounds a lot like abbycute and whiteandlight. After I asked that moderator to check it was discovered that abbycute and whiteandlight were in fact the same person, they have never been seen chatting here since. There is just something too familiar about the way she post of Tonique, the pattern is the same. She sounds like she's been here before. Everyone has a there own way of chatting online and the words they use etc.. and if you've been around on the boards long enough you can sometimes tell who that person is even if it is under a different user name. I don't know for sure if Beautifulskin is the other two but she sure does come close.

I don't know what to say.. wow. Well, earlier today I noticed the Tonique do have too many similarities to the Fair and Flawless. I noticed Fair and Flawless has a Private Label option where other companies can choose to use F&F products, the ingredients and descriptions are the same so the companies can then also call it theirs.. maybe this explains so many of the silimarities Wholesale Skin Care | Products
