I wear two fentanyl pain patches which have to be removed every 3 days.The adhesive these patches leave is impossible to get off my skin. I've tried EVERYTHING and nothing helps.I tried nail polish remover, and that just burned my skin and turned it red. I have been on this med for several years, and probably will be for quite a while longer. Would really appreciate any suggestions to solve this problem.

To remove the adhesive from bandages on skin use baby oil, olive oil, vegetable oil. Any one of these you happen to have around the house.

Let's solve this problem another way. Fenatyl is nasty stuff. A reminder to use vinyl gloves when handling.

Get some 3M micropore tape: 3M Micropore Paper hypoallergenic surgical tape - 1/2 Inch x 10 Yards Amazon sells it as well.

I think you may be able to get it smaller than 1/2". Remember that you cannot cut the patch.

I'd cut a length the width of the adhesive and tack the patch to the tape. Don't overlap the tape at the seams/

Acetone (nail polish remover) probably won't cut it. You would need something petroleom based like WD-40, but I'M NOT RECOMMENING IT.

NO! The adhesive itself contains fentanyl, and is designed to control the rate that fentanyl gets transferred to your flesh through your skinand then absorbed into the bloodstream. Dissolving the adhesive could result in a fatal overdose!
