    Trigonometry-solving triangles
    :confused: :confused: :confused: Hello. I have a couple questions on trigonometry, and if u could help me, then I would greatly appreciate it :)

    1) The diagonal of a rectangle is 12 cm long and makes an angle of 32 degrees with the longer side. Find the longer side of the rectangle.

    2) A guy wire supports a TV tower 50m tall. It joins the top of the tower to an anchor point 25m from the base. Find the length of the wire and the angle it makes with the ground.

    Thank you very much,
    Lizzie

    Problem 1: 12/1.118034= 10.73313 cm This is a guess.

    Problem 2: 50X50= 2500
    25X25= 625
    3125

    Square root of 3125 is 55.901699 meters.
    No math, but this looks like about 32 degrees
