Whirlpool Senseon dryer will not work.
I still have not fixed my Whirlpool senseon dryer. I cannot seem to find the problem. The keypad will not light up at all or respond to any action. I took the cover off and I cannot seem to get the 5vdc needed from he electronic board to the keypad. I replaced the electronic assembly (twice) with no luck. I actually jumpered the heating relay and the motor relay to a constant on and have been using the circuit breaker as a switch. I know, not safe but I need dry clothes... that being said, I know that the dryer works. The keypad doesn't allow me to do anything and doesn't respond but I am able to dry clothes. Everything else has been is plugged in except for the jumpered motor and heating element so I would assume that all of the thermals are operating properly. At first, I through it may be the keypad but I went through the keypad test as specified in the troubleshooting guide and all switches open and close properly after doing a continuity check. The only thing I can think of is maybe the panel lost its ground and there isn't a complete path to pass the 5vdc through. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Anyone have any idea what this problem is? I am still using my circuit breaker to turn on and off the dryer from hot wiring the darn thing. This is extremely dangerous and I would rather not do it but I cannot seem to find the problem.

Check for continuity at the thermal fuse located on the back side of the vent housing. You can also jumper around to check. Be careful Unnplug unit before checking for continuity and/or jumpering.
