    What are a child's rights?
My mom told me that my dad was very bad and after all these years I no see that she was wrong and he's not bad, she had all his right taken away when I was just a baby. She told me later when that I should ask my dad to give me up for adoption because I wanted my last name to be the same as hers. My bio dad din't want to, but I begged and finally he agreed. I thought he was bad then. Now I'm 16 and I realize what happened and I want to see/have relationship with my bio dad. My mom would never agree to this. Do I have any rights now or do I have wait until I'm 18/ maybe 19 because I live in Alabama... please help if you can.

In some states 16 is old enough to decide which parent a child wants to live with. You really should get with a lawyer. I'm sure there is site out there specifically for this.
