    Is it a Relationship?
Eight months back a girl (25 yrs) contacted me (26) through some dating website, showing her interest in me. Since I was about to look for something new after my last breakup, I decided to give a shot. We started talking first through email and then phone. Both of us really enjoyed talking and had great time. Our first two months were gone like this. After that, I asked her to meet me and go out on an actual date. But, she told me that she was not ready and would tell me as soon she would be. Since I really liked her, I decided to wait for few more weeks and give one more shot. But, she never changed her mind and I kept listening to her and kept waiting for her. This cycle has been going on and now its almost 8 months we have been talking, but still she is not ready to see me. She doesn't explain why she is not ready; may be her past experience with boyfriends. My brain asks me to get out of this, but my mind and soul asks me to wait. By now I like her a lot; we have amazing chemistry and we get along great on all topics except going out on a date. She is like a food stuck in my throat, I can neither swallow it nor throw it out. Please, suggest me, if I should listen to my brain and leave this wonderful chemistry or should listen to my mind and wait more??
    Thanks

I would follow what your brain says. Do you want to keep spinning your wheels? If she really wanted to meet you in person, she would have done so by now. You have already tried to invite her to the occasion to meet you in person.

You have already spoken with each other a number of times on the phone. It is leading to nowhere by what you have described.

Why keep it up? You will find someone else, if a relationship with a female is what you want. I am sure that there are other women seeking out someone like you.

I would suggest getting involved in things that are of interest to you and other people like you. Clubs, societies, maybe dances and church.

There are lots of fish in the sea to be caught. This woman is only one of them.

Please be patient with yourself concerning the things that you want out of life. It takes time to obtain the things that you really want.

I am hopeful that others will shed their own light on the question that you have posed. Mine is only one opinion.

How wonderful can the chemistry be if you have not met and she isn't willing after 8 months? You are wasting a lot of time and getting nowhere fast. Stop making love to a computer that tells you what you love to hear, but is only teasing you.
