AHH puppy keeps eating rubbish in the garden!
My little lab puppy is 9 weeks old! I have had her nearly a week now! But she keeps on eating things in the garden when I take her out for 'tiddle'! She will eat stones, snails, leaves, flowers anything!
How can I stop her doing this! :(
She was sick earlier, most likely because of all the crap she's digesting!
How can I stop this! :(:(:(:(
    Thanks

With it being a puppy they are prone to try just about anything once, but there are 2 things all dogs hate and that is the smell of viniger and garlic. Just take a spray bottle and spray anything that you don't want the dog to get into with viniger and it will definitely lure the puppy in another dirrection and best of all it won't bother your garden at all.

If you have her on leash, you can give a little tug and her name, leave it, and pull her away. Be gentle about it. You don't want going out to be a negative experience. Eating what you listed is much more common than problems other than digestive upsets. Once my puppies are past about 3 months, have housebreaking well established, and are too big for a hawk, I leave them outside by themselves as long as they are happy. The wrong size of almost anything occasionally causes problems. The only vet visit I remember was one apparently managed to swallow a yellow jacket, a common American stinging insect.

I am also careful to keep bits of plastic and lumber out of thefenced area.
