Re-married and name not on house deeds.
I married my partner last year and he owns his own property which still has a small mortgage on it. At this moment in time he is making all the mortgage payments.
I am about to return to work on a part-time basis and will be paying most of my salary (personal allowance aside) into the joint account. If my husband were to die before me, would I inherit the property as his next of kin (as detailed in his home-made Will) or would it automatically go to his two children? My husband assures me that, as I am his next of kin the house will pass to me. I trust my husband but I think that our knowledge of the law in this situation is pretty non existent and any advise would be most appreciated.

I was previously married and widowed but was only renting so I have little knowledge of mortgages and owning property.

    Many thanks
