    Court Date
If a court date has been set 9 months from today what can happen in the meantime, can it be deferred, can there be a settlement before it gets to court.

    Thank you

    Hello Frankie:

Criminal cases aren't usually settled. They're plea bargained down to a lesser charge and the defendant pleads guilty. It could happen sooner than 9 months or it could happen then. Or it might not happen at all.
