    Honda Civic 91 AC
Hi I have a 91 honda civic 4doors, I paid a mechanic to change out a leaking radiator. Radiator is now fixed, but my ac did not cool. I asked him and he said that the ac freon was empty. My ac was working and cooling very good before he changed out the radiator. I also had r12freon. He changed it over to r134a. It worked for a week cooling but not as cool as before with r12, but no problem. Now the ac is not cooling again. Is this a leak or has my freon clogged up? Or what is going on I can't handle not having ac with a baby.. please someone help me out or advise me what to do. I don't have a lot of money to take it to a shop... :(

Definitely a leak. It is hard to screw up a/c lines changing out a radiator because it can be done in like 10 minutes. Take it to a reputible shop and ask them to charge it and put dye in it. The dye will trace where you have leak and when you take it back, leak will glow when hit by their light. The dye doesn't lie unless you spill it.

Hi well I was just out there with him and he said the compressor is not coming on and the pressure valve that tells u how much freon is in the ac unit is registering no freon. My question now is that if the compressor won't come on with no ac freon or over filled or is there a fuse that will be replaced? Not for sure what is going on now.. but he said that he taught mechanics so I have to wonder if the damn compressor is out now or froze up. But my deal is he is an older gentleman and I am a single mother, so its hard for me to ask him questions without him getting frusterated with me.. please help me out. Thanks

Engine runs rough - a lack of power but not a hard miss - until engine warms up but car must sit for at least 18 hrs. 170,000 miles. Replaced plugs, cap rotor - no help. Distributor shaft has minor oil leak allowing oil to get inside of cap - maybe related.
