    Collection Agencies
    Hey there...

I've had a debt since 2000 and have not paid anything on it due to finanically struggling for several years. For a couple years now, I haven't heard anything from them. Suddenly they are now springing up again, calling me.

I can't seem to find any information online about the Canadian laws with collection agencies. My rights (other them telling them not to call my home) as how to handle them with asking for validation that I owe "THEM" a debt, what I can do if they have NO validation at all of this debt that I owe them, etc. etc. etc.

Any one know of any really good reading material about Collection Agencies in Canada?

    Thanks!

I just goggled 'collection agencies in Canada' and came up with a lot of information. So, not being specific, I can't say which one to read first.

I'll try that and see what I can find.

Anyone who is or dealt with Canadian Collections and how to handle them (information to share) would be appreciated as well =)
