    OK right. Here goes. HAIR!
My hair is naturally medium golden Brown, with rinklets, I started having bleached streaks when I was 11+ I have dyed my hair so many times I can't even remember io don't even know anymore! Red orange black etc.. BLACK that's where the problem is...

Well I wanted my hair a medium-dark brown with mulit tonal brown highlight, so it looks natural, YET I tried going to a hair dressers who charged me £60 and dyed it -COCO (brown) AS he would call it, and actually in fact iot was black, I wasn't impressed. Now its getting me down my hair means a lot to me and I can't grow the colour out my hair is shortish and it doesn't grow any longer then it is now! It used to me downmy back and the hairdresser razor layered it. Hasn't grown for 3-4 years now?

Anyway please someone tell me what I can use to get it lighter with these highlights too I'm sick to death of buying dyes that don't work, I thought it was getting lighter until two people stopped me and said I love your hair which colour black did you use!! DEVOSTATING! What a waste of time and money!

Please help me, when I bleach it I have no idea where I start or what to do or what to use, although my mum is a hairdresser! She won't put bleach on it!!

    HELPPPPP

Highlighting dark hair can result in red/orange shade because dark contains a lot of red pigment in it. If you want to have decent brown highlights, you should have your hair professionally done. A hairstylist can mix an ash base color with a higher strength volume peroxide developer to achieve your desired color without the brassy color.
