Kenmore Dryer (90 Series) not heating up
My Kenmore Dryer (90 Series) is not heating up. I have replaced the Hi-Temp thermostat and thermal cut-off devices. The coil is good (~10.1 ohms).

When I detach one of the wires from the circuit, I measure about 80 volts (AC) between the heating coil and the operating thermostat or ~110 v between the coil and gnd. However, when the wires are reconnected back to the circuit, I measure 0~2 mV AC across each of these devices (coil, hi-temp thermostat, thermal-cutoff, operating thermostat).

Could the problem be the heating relay which is connected to the motor?

I removed the motor and checked the centrifugal switch (for the heating circuit) and that was operating correctly. It turned out to be the timer switch that had burned out and had to be replaced ($85 plus tax)!
