    Directors Cut DVD
    Hi--Can anyone tell me what is the difference between a Director's Cut Version DVD to a Full Screen or Wide Screen---Thanks!!

    Director's Cuts tends to be longer and more involved that the normal cinematic release.

    Director's cut is the original version of the film as the director meant it to be shown. It includes (deleted) scenes that were not shown in theaters. There are various reasons as to why those scenes were deleted. Usually, a movie's scenes are cut either due to content or time constraints (the movie needs to be shortened).

    Regarding content, it has to do with the Motion Picture Association of America's general ratings of a movie. For more info on the whys and what's of it, please see this link:

    It is a very interesting process and much disputed by directors, producers, and artists, of the films. It really depends on what audience they are targeting and, in turn, how much money they need to make off the movie.
