    Getting dye out of hair
Hello, I dyed my hair brown 2 months ago. The box said it will wash out in 28 shampoos, that was not true. I still got the brown hair and I hate it. My natual color was red, and I miss it. I was wondering if there is anyway I get this color dye out of my hair? Am really not happy with it at all, and I want to get it out anyway that I can... Can someone please help me?

Use Pert or Prell shampoo. They have a high pH and will remove the color- try a few washes and condition well to restore moisture and maintain health & good appearance. I believe you can lather up 2 or 3 times- you know your hair and what it can take and how much rest it needs between.

If the box states that the color washes out in 28 shampoos, you probably used a demi-permanent hair color. Remember that both semi- and demi-permanent colors can become permanent on permed or already-colored hair. Try using Prell, dandruff Shampoos or clarifying shampoos to strip the color from your hair. You can also use dish detergents, such as Dawn to help remove the color. If you don't see any results from these products, go to a salon to have the color professionally removed and your hair re-colored.
