    Asset search
    If a credit company gets a judgement against you, do the ask the court for an asset search? In Illinois what is the sol for credit cards?

    Hello angel:

    No, they do the asset search all by themselves. SOL in Ill? I don't know, but if they've already got a judgment, it's too late to even bring it up.

    Often as part of the filing they ask you to supply them a list of all of your bank accounts, and the such, but they don't have to.
