    In electromegnet induction type energy meter why the rotating alluminium disk is perforated? Its surface is dotted and rough, why?

    1.aluminium disc is prefer compare to copper disc because of light weigh and low cost.
    2.braking torgue depends on resisrance of disc(eddy current path).resistance of aluminium this is low.
