I;m kind of new here, but I need help.

I have a best friend, we'll call her Ashley. We have been best friends for some time now, and we have gotten to be so close. I asked her out a couple of months ago near Valentines Day and she said yes, but after 3 days I broke up with her. I just couldn't handle the thought of losing her as a friend to be her boyfriend.

So we were jolly and merry until 2 days ago, when I asked her out. She confirmed that I wasn't going to dump her again, and I agreed. Now we are in a relationship... but I don't feel the connection like I thought I would. I can't just tell her I want to be friends again, I promised her I would make this work. While I hang out with her, a lot of other girls hug me, and I think she feels jealous.

When I hang out with her, we are still like friends, but she says 'Let go of my man!' and 'I love you.' But that's really it. We don't even hug often. We are both really shy.

What should I do? She is so cute... but we are better off as friends. But I made a commitment! Ugh, please help me.

I have same problem. I went out with my friend emily and we were best friends and I broke up with her, I think that maybe (to both of us) we like our best friends SO much , not like bf/gf wise but we like themso much as friends that we are convinced , since they are girls that we like them like a girlfriend. Its so easy to go from friends to couples, and harder after being a couple to be friends. As a couple you must be honest about what you feel. As a friend you must still be honest about what you feel.

Sit down with her and tell her you're confused. Together you can make it work, wethever it's a friendship or a romance if she really cares about you, she'll understand.
