    Bancruptcy law
If I filed bancruptcy and was discharged, would I still have to pay back the creditors once I get a good paying job?

You needed to listen better to your attorney.

Once it is discharged, it is discharged, the creditors can not even by law contact you

Not all debts are discharged. Assuming that the debts were discharged then the creditor cannot try to collect. If a creditor attempts collection on a discharged debt, you can file a motion with the court reporting their efforts and asking the case to be reopened to address the matter. The creditor could be fined by the court.

Mine was discharged 5 yrs ago. It's a done deal. I've been working since but that debt is gone forever.

That's what the bankruptcy process and discharge does.
