    Battery Problems
I sold a guy a 1992 lawn tractor that ran, but had to have the carb either tuned or replaced. He called and told me that he replaced the battery, and now when he tries to start it, the positive terminal get real hot. Can you tell me what would cause this problem. It never happened before.

Hooked up backwards or a poor connection.

To tell you the truth it is his problem now. Private sales are 99% "as is". It ran when you sold it and after he worked on it there's a problem. News guess may be correct but just let it go.
